Okay THIS is what my dad taught me years ago but he called it the Slop, which is wrong because that's a difference dance. This is a more complicated variation of the stroll that my dad says a LOT of people along the middle Atlantic coast used to do. Middle 60s mostly I think, years after the Stroll came along. Complainers, it's a DIFFERENT dance that's FUN with several people who know how to do it. Get over it.

Where do they get these people from...."1940s R'n'R Stroll"? Really? Look, there is only one Stroll and that was invented in 1957. It was an ultra slow dance. What this guy is doing has got NOTHING to do with R'n'R/Rockabilly/1950s.

I came up with this stroll for the song 'Rockabilly Stroll' by Johnny Austen for the Cadbury Strollathon back in the 90s...it was never a 50s stroll.lol

I found out recently that The Stroll of today within the 50s community, that is pure rip off of THE HULLY GULLY, which later went by other names such as The Electric Slide-. The original Stroll is Camel Walk from the 30s.

Nothing like The Hully Gully. The dance you're talking about is a tame version done by white teens in the early 60s of a much raunchier dance done by black teens in the late 50s to the song by The Olympics.@@killerdillr

I know what you mean. I shall reply more into depth about the evolution of Hully Gully.

Yes, line dancing in the 80s came out of rock n roll strolls from the 50s and 60s :)

Exactly....and nothing to do with 1950s/R'n'R/Rockabilly.
