When I'm making characters I usually write them down first on a note app, including everything I want for the oc and their looks so I don't forget! Maybe you can try doing that and when you have the energy too make the oc drawing than you could! ^^
if you have time, can you do a short tutorial on how exactly you do your painting / layering and all that? like what specific layer modes you use for the lineart or if you just use certain colors?? because I am confused and I love your style so mUCH

i'm a month late, but hopefully i can help! speaking as someone who taunts god and uses non royalty free music in pretty much every speedpaint: go wild. it's a bit trial and error (i've found that led zeppelin is particularly protected for some reason) but as long as you don't particularly care about your videos being monetized and the songs arent overtly about trauma (like...you wouldn't wanna use a song an artist wrote to vent about their abuse as bgm, i think) you can use whatever. to be safe, i'd recommend listing songs used in the description anyway!
