$1.42 per base card, no thanks. The audacity of Topps/Fanatics is sickening. It's clear they don't care about their customers and only have money on their mind! I'll be buying singles, not packs.

@@shawnnixon2616 Topps and the scalpers ruined it for the kids. Scalpers buy them all up and charge an extra 5-10%. Topps has to try and price them to eliminate expected value for resellers. Although at its core I think it’s an unsolvable problem.
This video will save me atleast $130. Appreciate the warning. Imagine if Topps comes out with lower buy back values than last year. I’ll be interested in that list.
i appreciate how your are neither overly positive or negative. Very realistic. Stryker breaks was chastising his audience today for even mentioning that topps chrome has become overpriced.
I was watching that break when he chastised the guy in the chat for suggesting hobby boxes were too high. Told him to "tell someone who cares". I started to enter the chat and say how Stryker's Big League card has him bootlicking for Topps but held back. That dude has anger issues or something
His big league breaks showed his real self.. no respect to any other breakers that also got a card.. he hates jabs with a passion... I remember the live chat when he got banned.. he earned it

I got 1 blaster box from Best Buy and got a purple speckle auto of some dude on the pirates. My second pulled auto ever. If it wasn’t for that auto I’d feel terribly ripped off because everything else was garbage…. 28 cards for $45 lol

Absolutely unacceptable for 40 bucks and change. You should be guaranteed AT LEAST a numbered card per blaster and better auto odds.
3 blasters. 1 numbered RC. All pink and sepias were vets. All refractors and prizms were rookies.

This year's Topps Chrome has been very poor. I bought 3 Jumbos in the pre sale. It was recycled trash. I hear I wasn't the only one who got the same deal.

From what I've read, there's around half a million blaster boxes if not more. Inundated with crap product.
"It took 10 boxes to get a numbered card." And it was the 3rd highest denominator out of about 30 numbered parallels and I have never heard about that guy 🤣🤣
Blasters being 40 is really a shame. Prices doubling in 2-3 years is nuts. Blasters were good last year. Also a nice value with the mvp buyback. Checklist being 300 cards now really makes these not worth it. A lot harder to hit the 2 cards you want. Also autos and hits in general are harder to get this year compared to last year. $30 should be the msrp on these.

Bought 2 chrome blasters...one had an orange/25 and a magenta/250 in the same box. I was very surprised.

Just found one lonely blaster hiding on shelf at Target so I had no choice but to rescue it. Pulled a Encarnacion strand ray wave and Jonathan Bowlam RC Auto Purple/299. Probably gonna be my only blaster at 43$ per but not bad ! 🤷🏽♂️
Just bought 1 chrome box. My first box to start my new hobby and got an elly summertime, freeman sepia and an all etch mookie. Not a bad start since im a Dodgers fan as well
I bought one blaster yesterday. I pulled a purple speckled auto number to 299 of Lyon Richardson, not the greatest card in the world, but it was an auto at least!

Jabs I'm going to my LCS tomorrow and I wasn't going to be buying any chrome but after seeing this I'll probably break down and get a jumbo or hobby box. I've already purchased all of the Detroit tigers singles including Colt Keith's autograph, but after this video= no blasters.

Wow. Topps and fantastics has finally pushed me to the point where I will not buy wax anymore. I spent over 10k last year on chrome. Won't do anything other buy singles this year
6 blasters - Johan Rojas RC /5, Tyler Glasnow /350, Randy Wynne RC Auto /250 and Cam Eden RC Auto /499. Was gonna try to get 6 more boxes but after watching your rip, pretty sure I used up all my luck on blasters
I went to a pirates game this weekend and grabbed a box thinking it would be at most 40. They were charging 60 at the ballpark! Better to just buy a hobby for 200 or buy singles.
Blasters here are $45 at Walmart and $40 at GameStop. Opened two and was just disappointed. I'm done with the blasters.
Hey Jabs, I was very disenchanted with my first 7 blasters, not one numbered card or auto! I have been getting my blasters at Barnes & Noble to save a few bucks cuz these prices are insane! I finally ran into a hot lot or case at a particular Barnes where I had several hits and noticed that in this batch of blasters every ray wave was a rookie like in the video by Stryker. I went back 3 days in row, cuz some Barnes will only sell you one a day. in those 3 blasters I pulled a rookie auto /99, Holiday prizm, Chourio ray wave, 2 numbered cards and the hit of the 3 was a Soto Light Board logo card! But after 12 blasters ripped in total, still have not pulled a Judge, Ohtani or Elly base.. Tough Blasters this year!
I think that the average person should just try to get the card they’re looking for (and can afford) on auction or maybe buy into a team break.
I pulled a Justin Martinez /250 auto, a nick gonzalez reywave, and a Holliday base in a value box. Safe to say I hit the jackpot
My local Walmart restocked yesterday. I went late last night bought a mega box series 2 of topps a few hanger boxes of 2024 topps heritage and a 2024 bowman blaster box. Didn't pull really much.
I've seen a lot of blasters opened lately. Yikes! These are a 40 dollar strikeout. Hobby and jumbo is definitely the way to go.
The big draw about retail is that you can get the retail exclusive parallels of the top rookies. That's the best you can hope for!
Did you guys see the blunder by Fanatics/Topps? Advertised Legend autos, but didn't say that they are exclusively in Breakers Delight boxes only.
I bought 2 blaster boxes even though the price makes me sick but love the product. Opened one box and got a Hagen Danner auto /499. Not a big name but after this video I should be thankful.

Last year's chrome was so good. So they said let's trick them this year and put trash in these over priced boxes.
An Elly Sepia Refractor is currently going for just over the price of a blaster box. THe best rookie in a Sepia version or a box with a 1 in 150 chance? I think the decision is very clear here. Avoid these and let the companies hold their price gouging bag.

These boxes are so bad if you buy them you literally are throwing your money down the drain!! You can’t even have fun opening these packs because you get absolutely nothing!! What a shame this hobby is really dying
It may be dying for you, but not for true collectors. The payback for collectors is finding and collecting the players you like. Not to sell them.

Yeah dying for ppl like u who are in it for the money maybe. But I rip for the thrill and hunt of maybe pulling top card of someone in my PC. What's in the look on my son or grandsons face do they pull a nice card

@@homerclifton9642when folks are forced with a choice between paying their electric bill, or buying a blaster, just to add some rando base to their PC, that’s when the prices are too high. $20 is great, but up to $40 now is too much.
I got 2 blasters from target. Actually went back for the second box. First box hit was a 5/5 Matt Olsen Red raywave. Second box hit was 049/199 Luis Matos aqua raywave.
Those are some awesome hits … this is the reality I’m finally accepting though from buying boxes for two years: if you get that Olson graded, you have a 70% chance at getting a PSA 9, 30% chance at a 10. At a 10, it’s worth $50-$60 … so you hit a banger box that had an extremely rare card, and “IF” you can get a 10 (unlikely), you still lost money. That’s why I’ve basically stopped buying boxes.
@@dero0808 yea I think your mostly right. We all just have to remember we’re buying baseball cards at the end of the day. I try to not worry about value and just have fun. I’ll make the most out of what I get. None of us really know how these things will “value” over time.
I got really lucky with the one blaster I bought and pulled a lightboard Wells which should at least pay for the box. Not planning to buy any more blasters.

It's shocking the difference between the 10 boxes Stryker opened and these ones. I have a feeling these ones are a bit more realistic as for as what to expect.

I got 3 blasters today, and in the second pack did land a Green All Etch Rookie Rush Evan Carter numbered to 99, and somehow my sepias and pinks were the same players, so, I have a head start on a rainbow on 6 players, basically. Too bad, it wasn't Elly or Evan or Domingues. Did get a Gunnar refractor, as well. Have two more due in next week. May be it for me, maybe another Hobby. Nice Raywave Ohtani and Pink Masyn Winn behind it. Funny your numbered was Grae Kessinger, got a Blue something to 75 of him, and he was one of the sepia and pinks I got. And, even funnier, I pulled his grandfather's auto in 2023 Topps Heritage High Number a few months ago.

Least you aren’t like Styker defending the price of breakers delights and blasters. I watched him open a breakers delight box and got all base non numbered autos… I bought 1 and only 1 chrome blaster just to see how bad I’d get screwed. Ended up pulling a purple sparkle numbered rookie auto. I can’t help but feel so ripped off by a $300 only containing like 7 cards and most of the ones he opened were unremarkable
I got lucky with my one blaster box I guess. Pulled a green refractor sal frelick rookie rush. Checklist has them at 1:15k value packs
I feel like as long as a business gets away with high prices they’ll keep selling it at high prices. This price hike is also a result of us flipping boxes when the rookie class was better. To me baseball retail has not been worth the gamble since 2018. Not sure when it will ever be worth it again but I doubt it’s 2024. 2023 maybe would be worth it if blasters were still 19.99.

I have had auto luck out of the blasters. I bought a group of 8 and got three autos, then I bought 3 on TikTok and pulled two autos out of those.
Fanatics raised the price on these to try to close the gap more with retail to hobby. Also just like hobby there gobbling up the secondary price increase right off the bat. Last year ppl like myself were doing much better buying blasters over hobbies.
Topps chrome blasters wasn't bad but wasn't strong so if I buy 1 blaster box I'll be happy!!!🎉

Like it’s strange, topps is obviously the best of the brand but I’d rather open donruss baseball. More fun of a rip and cheaper. The only upside is hunting for buybacks.

Honestly, I would rather get 3-4 of these blasters than a hobby. Hobby boxes are spitting out one numbered card on average, of course there’s the auto but it could be a skunk auto with the massive rookie checklist
Watching several breaks and the low hits I would say for me I will not be buying this product for the price. Now, I will say the quality is there and new design is great but not for the price. I had a blast opening 2023 Topps Chrome Platinum and the hits were there. Buy back program is weak considering they added 80 cards to the set, and pulling a possible buy back is very low. Most I would pay would be 19.99 a box.

Chrome is by far my favorite product but I never buy it for the reason the charge an outrageous amount, blasters should only be $25 a piece not $40
I got 2 autos out of 5 blasters yesterday. An "F" grade is hardly a decent ranking.
40 a box & have gotten 6 of them, only 1 # card to 299.. pretty crazy.

I've watched 2 videos of blasters. 8 boxes total. Had 2 numbered autos. And 2 or 3 numbered cards. I was surprised to see these 10 be so bad after watching them.
I'm not one to jump on boycotts but holy cow we need to boycott that product at that price point. That's ridiculous....
One numbered card, only two Shohei (MVP) cards. I'd be willing to bet Topps made Shohei, Judge, and other perennial MVP candidates into "hits." Making people spend a ton of money on a chase for a base card is insane.

These are the real blasters, not the fake 10 that another breaker opened. Can’t convince me that breaker wasn’t sent hot boxes for their channel to bait people into buying blasters.
