First there are a lot of other bad habits to have that are not very good at all. And every body has one or two. Second, you build it I will watch and learn. keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.

Making it a blazer is not as simple as shortening it. You need the wheelbase at 104” and then the body has to be cut in front and behind the wheelwell to get the proportions correct. Clean it up and make it a nice suburban. Get it running driving and stopping good.
I think it would make a cool shop truck with your logo stretched down the whole side. Make sure to weld up all of the critical spots and keep the patina to 2 colors, maybe red oxide and better yellow that pops! Very nice find, and worth restoring.
The first vehicle I ever bought was a 1979 Chevy C 10 2 Wheel Dr. pick up I bought it for $135 My dad had some property in the country and I drove that thing into every tree I could possibly find and that is where I taught myself to wrench I bought a Sears craftsman mechanics, tool set, taught myself
I was 14 it was my first week of high school. I had a 76 Monte Carlo I put it into a tree row backwards at about 70 when I hit the trees. Still drove it home and started fixing. From there on the cars have changed but the fixing seems to always be part of my life....
The three doors are cool. A forgotten body style, so you don't see many. I generally like the new growing or resurgence of the "patina" rat rod look. But, i would be tempted to do this in either a two-tone . That was common to those days. Maybe the Cali woody look even. Using some air brush work to look like wood. Roll pan the back and hide but keep the hitch. Smooth and closely tucked frint bumper. But the addition of a front splitter with adjustment rods that are fixed but look adjustable. To keep the front low . Tie in a "diffuser " with the rear roll pan. Retub the rear wheel wells. So some nice width [tires]. Can be fit underneath and keep the exterior lines clean. Maybe use the baseball bat trick . To roll out the outer wheel openings carefully and cleanly. Of course, bag it and link the rear. Clean up the frame and box as needed. The engine... 427.. or 383 stroker... weber stacks... new transmission and floor shifter and console. Whole new gage setup. Big screen infotainment system. Vintage air. Exhaust... side pipes... or flow back and through the roll pan . Cutouts... This is for making the cruisen comfortable. You can air brush patina into the paint job. Very cool street rod. That holds it own when the light changes . But cruises down the road/highway comfortably and dependaby. Plus, it handles your luggage. But that's just my ideas ... lol. It's not my vehicle. So, just ideas is all.
You do what ever you want to with the truck. I had a 68 panel truck, like a suburban with no back windows and only 2 front doors. Barn door rear. I sold it because I had too many vehicles and have regretted it ever since.
I can see it as a slammed street machine or a lifted 4x4 overlander. It'll be a nice ride either way...I'm not a fan of that color, but I do like a patina look.
LMAO Thanks for the Confession. They say it's good to talk about problems we have. To get them off our chests. I've only had 1 set of Hooker Headers. 71 Vega with SB and turbo 400. 3 piece headers that never leaked or came loose.
I'm thinking that you already have most of the pieces to do the four door; use a pair of C 10 doors, shortened to the exist pass side door, and put on opposite sides and hung as "suicide doors", closing on a solid structure between them? If you do it, make it your way- it shows! Best to Julie and high hopes ! I agree, the hauler and trailer want doing before you undertake an extensive build. Like the K5 idea, but that is surely a body off deal. But, like others, I come here to watch you do you, Anthony. If it makes you happy and crankin the hot wrench, I'm here for it.
Yes do the Blazer look, my thoughts exactly, nothing else would Beat the Blazer look period, especially with the non removable roof equals no rot like all the original ones have very cool !!
Nice find. You always seem to be able to locate the decent ones not far away. For your issue that I dont see a problem with TH-cam always advertises this thing called Better Health or something like that, Lol.
Looks awesome what a find. I have the same disease but my wife put her foot down. I’ve got to get rid before I get. 😂😅❤Julie that’s way cool!! (We haven’t seen a video on that white c10 you were building?? )
I have 3 kits for the b pillar to build a 4 door- I paid for each, but willing to send you one for shipping plus about a tenth the cost. Sharing the love.
I feel your pain 😫😫😫 I have the same symptoms. I have found that the way to cure it is to give your Ohio friend Joey the reddish orange C/10 parked in your shop. 😢😢😢 suburban C/10’s are awesome so glad you got it.
Leave the suburban alone and finish what you've started. See how you feel when you're not carrying the work load . But im just another 63 year old dreamer with ideas and a bad case of failing ambitiousitis good luck C
Man I know it's called HardCore Fab, but please don't cut it up your doing that kinda already and you don't really see alot of those 3 doors Surbans around and all the glass is there fix it up some and flip it make some money and use it for Mrs. J and let her go with you she may even keep you from some of the problem you say you have but I really don't think you have that bad of a problem you like cool stuff that's all and you want to have it.
Those diseases must be hereditary. I know a lot of people with those minor problems. Been putting up with them for years... Usually, I have the other problems that go with them. Chronic lack of money and a shortage of space. How about I trade you my '86 GMC Blazer for your Suburban?
@@HardCoreFab FWD converted to two-wheel drive. 350 TBI, 700. Cowl induction hood. Phantom grille. Lowered rear. Been pulled down for typical rust repair. So, I guess you could call it a project... I'll throw in some money to sweeten the deal...

Budget build would be awesome. Baged with black 20s. Keep the same color...

We suffer from the same affliction!
I had a 1970 Chevy 3 door Carryall. Tail gate w/lift back, 350 4 bolt main and double humper heads. One of the best things that I ever had.
lol it runs in the family. I like it . I’d like to see you redo it.
I may play with it some.

Make a really nice blazer style ride for Julie.

I would leave it stock length since you don't see them anymore. But it's yours and you will do what you want with it
I enjoy watching what you do so whatever you decide will be watched on thursday mornings with my breakfast.
Thanks Martin!

That's a cool ride. Love the burbs
A K5 Sublazer would be cool, slammed!
Keep up great work. Chevy addiction won’t kill ya

I'm the same way! Just with airplane's! I could see it slammed with steelies and off white paint.
3 Door Suburban has got to be kind of rare. Especially that year.
No, all suburbans this body style had 3 doors.
Not super rare but definitely not something you see everyday like a truck.
LOL..... Love the Intro! I dont think there is a cure for your issues 🤣
lol
4 door Tahoe!
Looks awesome what a find. I have the same disease but my wife put her foot down. I’ve got to get rid before I get. 😂😅❤Julie that’s way cool!! (We haven’t seen a video on that white c10 you were building?? )
We need to just finish that one and sell it!
Be a cool ride. Nice cruiser.
Keep it a 3 door suburban.....lower it and cruise the hell out of it.......
I like the idea of shortening the body to a k5 blazer look, I think that would be cool… a lot of work but cool!
Yes it would!
I have 3 kits for the b pillar to build a 4 door- I paid for each, but willing to send you one for shipping plus about a tenth the cost. Sharing the love.
That said, make it a 4 door (maybe stretch the rear to near full-size and make a mega cab- full commit!)
I didn't know someone made a kit. Man that's tempting.
A 4 door Tahoe would be super cool!
Yes it would!!!
Not too bad. Another good one 👍👍
cool looking truck
Very nice Score Antony and have the same disease 😂
Instead of blazer turn into 2 door panel advertise your shop on the side
Perfect
Looks like a win Hugs to Julie
It is for sale! Hit us up, if you are interested!
Are you sure?
Nice wheels and tires. Do up the interior. Get it running better. A/C. Done!
OK
That would be a pretty clean truck in Ohio. Turn it over to Conner, he can do all the metal and fab. Nice hauler for him to go to McPherson...
Bag it and convert to 4 door and use as shop advertisement
You should make it a 2 door hard top blazer slammed on 22 Detroit steal wheels
I say make it into AK5 blazer. I think that would be cool.
It's still a C10, just a C10 Suburban. C = 2 wheel drive, 10 = 1/2 ton.

@ That’s not the same 😫😫😂😂
I’ll watch what ever you want to do with it
Thanks man!
I would like to see a panel shop truck all lettered up, eliminate the third door and all. Lowered , of course.
I understand what you're talking about and some deals you just don't pass by
There's a guy in Bakersfield makes a kit to put the forth door in the left side
That's cool!
Lol... u need a doctor my friend... great buy... God bless you and your loved ones 🙏
LOL
Make it steet nice.
I vote for the shortening
That would make a great give away vehicle.
Hmmm I hadn't thought of that. It seems like everyone is doing that now maybe I should look into that.
Turn it into a 3 door El Camino. Have not seen that before.
Yeah!
Leave the suburban alone and finish what you've started. See how you feel when you're not carrying the work load . But im just another 63 year old dreamer with ideas and a bad case of failing ambitiousitis good luck C
Tray back well body cab and tray a dual / twin axel
On c10
Plop it on a lifted duramax chassis and drivetrain. Ac bam family hauler
I'm to poor to own a Duramax
Would be a sweet pro street burban with a blower...
OH MAN! YES IT WOULD! Send me an 871 and I'll make it happen. LOL
Very cool
Since the three to four door suburban thing has been done. Have you ever seen a three door to two door, Nomad style thing.
That would be a panel truck and yes they made those too
Fix it up and leave it original love them surburbans
I like it the way it is, I would go through it fix the hat you want use it as what ever you want thaty opinion.
13:20 Something fell off the hitch as you drove away. IDK might just be useless trash, might not.
dirt from backing off the trailer
Turn it into a big off road 4x4
it's only 2 wheel drive
Make it a driver and flip it
I'd just get it running good and cruise it.
I probably will
@@HardCoreFab It's a cool ass rig.
Might be cool to shorten it.
