Is that Mark Heap?? Just found out about The Leisure Society on BBC Radio's 'Loose Ends' and am now giving myself an introductory tour to their music - loving it!
@SusanBasko I smashed a guitar once, because I was meant to be playing Father Jack Hackett from Father Ted in a role-playing pub crawl. It was out of a desire to win the pub crawl. And it was my guitar. And it already had a crack in it from where my flatmate had dropped a wok on it. So a bit different. Maybe they could edit all that in, and have Mark Heap playing Father Dougal instead, and it'd all be much better. Directors love completely re-editing their videos after they're published.
Everyone has differing opinions it seems. '..Damp Matches' is some peoples favourite song ever, some people hate it. My personal favourite on the '..Murky Water' album is 'Just Like The Knife'.
@musicpeicho It's 'Murky Water', fool! And I happen to disagree. This album was (in my opinion) simply beautiful! With the exception of 'Our Hearts Burn Like Damp Matches' which is a pretty dull song, and perhaps a couple of others, the whole album was gorgeous! Take 'you could keep me talking' for example... that song is so, so lovely! And their lyrics are just so rich and thoughtful and wise. Maybe it didn't do it for you, but just have a closer listen. x
WOW. I LOVE this song, and I like the basic Idea of this video, but I dislike the negative main character and I especially dislike the guitar being smashed. it is way too negative for this band and this song. I also knew a mentally disturbed person once who did smash a person's guitar out of a desire to control, and this reminds me of that. Such a fun premise for a video, gone wrong. Please re-edit and get rid of the terrible bad vibes.
First record was a masterpiece. Second record including this song is very disappointing ,average and soon to disappear in oblivion.I was expecting a lot more from Into The Murky way. Hopefully Nick will do better next time
