  • A 2022 UNAIDS data report shows that eastern and southern Africa are the regions most heavily affected by HIV, with 20.6 million people - that is 54 percent of all people living with HIV in the world. In Uganda, Fort Portal City is experiencing an unprecedented rise in new HIV infections, a phenomenon that is worrying city authorities. The new statistics show that women and girls continue to be disproportionately affected due to their vulnerability. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
