- I did it! I love how this painting came out. The colors remind me of the final moments of sunset right before the sun is gone! Small changes made a big difference!
How I mix my paints for a paint and water painting: • Paint and Water Dutch ...
Colors used: yellow-gold, Venetian rose, blue-violet, cadmium orange, sky blue, gold, magenta

I love this but not as a sunset itself. It reminds me more of a cave when the sun is setting so the cave has all of these colors and patterns on the walls, there's stalagmites hanging from the ceiling in the middle (where your drips are) so the light is reflecting and creating all of these amazing patterns.

How do you not get cracks in such a large canvas? Recently so many of mine are cracking badly yet I’m careful with paint consistency and room temperature etc.. so frustrating and ruining the canvases 😩
I was was about to respond to this with nearly these exact words so I’m glad that I saw how beautifully you have written it. One thing I see is where the blue turned nearly white… that looks like a big vein of quartz and there can be gold in quartz rock in caves! This piece also looks like an approach up into Heaven to meet Jesus.

Purple is my favorite color. I'd like to see it in metallic colors, including fuchsia,a little medium blue, coral, and a little lime green, with lots of cells and lacing. That might be a bit challenging as some of the colors may turn muddy. Mainly I'd like the purple, fuchsia, and some light silver to give the purples that lighter color also... And swirls of the blue and lime. I don't ask for much huh? 🤣😂!!! HAAAPPY PAINTING...BYYYYYE🥰

Hi Molly, only discovered you about a week ago,awesome paintings. Love this one that you have done. A few weeks ago we had a sunset that was a beautifull dark red, black shadows of palm trees in the front with dark grey clouds. This was the most beautifull sunset i have ever seen. Love from South Africa.
