    How impressive. As a Mfg. Engineer I couldn't be more impressed with what Paul and Kathy Short are accomplishing. They identify product issues, create designs to remedy them, test and improve the designs, and even fabricate parts and assemblies of consistent quality. Not only that but they market them and even act as shippers. Remarkable people in every way.

      Thank you John for your very kind comments. Coming from someone like yourself they mean a lot to Kathy and I. We enjoy what we do and enjoy seeing our customers excitement when they receive their products. Your comments really made our day. keep well and God Bless.

    That HST guard is exactly what I needed for my fathers tractor. a small tree, no bigger than an inch in diameter got caught underneath while I was backing up during brush hogging. It caught just right against that metal pipe and cracked the fitting the pipe connects to as well as bent the pipe a bit. I turned off the tractor as quick as I saw the leaking fluid, but it took me a day to fix it. Had to drive an hour across town for the cracked fitting, then 3 trips to the tractor dealer 30 minutes away for the fluid because I had no idea I had lost almost 5 gallons that quickly.

    Paul, consider a mirror guard for a B2650 Cab for those working around trees with lower branches (tilling around willow trees the mirrors are always getting bumped). Also happens in the garage with my head.

    • @ronstandley5635
      @ronstandley5635 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +1 - I'm always 'knockin the noggin' on the mirrors. The good thing is, the mounts allow them to move easily while the bad thing is constantly having to readjust them. Still, hitting my skull on a rigid guard might leave scars. Food for thought, Paul - I've considered trying to somehow rotate the mirrors from vertical to horizontal to add a bit more head clearance but that would make them more vulnerable to tree branches - sigh.

    I work with large scale professional metal fabricators all the time. From what I can see in your videos, your quality is very very good! Nice work. As a side note, I don't see the B2650 in your parts drop-down list. Does that mean I should just order from the B2601 list and it will fit?

    G'mornin'' Paul. I just started a thread on Tractor-By-Net called "LA534 Hose Wear". There is weld spatter inside the upper arm that wore a hole in the rear lift cylinder hose on mine. Could you check the FEL on your B2650 loaner for this hazard? If this is an ongoing QA issue at Kubota, maybe you could mention this to the Newfoundland Kubota team, and ask them to run it up to management. Thanks, and hope your both feeling well.

    The exhaust extender could be called the Soot Bender😂

  • @bryancuster3323
    @bryancuster3323 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Paul, you may want to direct the exhaust in the other direction (between the front of the tire and FEL). If the B2650 uses any front mount attachments, the mounting bracket swings up under that front bumper and hooks over the upper edge. I suppose the exhaust could be removed and reinstalled (big inconvenience), but I don't know what the final clearance would be from the mounting frame to the exhaust. Still may not work. The rear attachment frame for the same attachments also mounts on the frame in front of the fuel filter, and may need a slight redesign for the fuel filter guard. Otherwise, love the mods, and will be purchasing. Wish we knew what other mods to expect that could possibly be a bundled order.

    • @bryancuster3323
      @bryancuster3323 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have outrigger locks for the BH77 backhoe that fits the B2650?

    • @7863348
      @7863348  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      What you see is what you get. Every mod we do will only apply to the tractor in the video and how it is equipped as you see it here. This exhaust extension is only intended for the B2650 with no front implement. As for removing it. One bolt and it's off. You'd call that a big inconvenience?
      I don't intend to spend much time on the B series tractors. They aren't a big seller when it comes to accessories. This one is more of a test to see if there's a market for them. These few mods will tell us weather it's worth it or not. Glad you liked the stuff.

    • @bryancuster3323
      @bryancuster3323 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@7863348 Removing one bolt is not what makes it inconvenient... removing the exhaust every time when switching back and forth from various front end attachments to the FEL becomes inconvenient because the subframe cannot stay on when using the FEL. Just a suggestion to make your product a "one mod fits all B2650 configurations."

    Good work, Paul! I can't wait to see your creations for the interior! My shopping list is over $700 now ;^)
    I have the same 'Super B' cab on my 3350. The AC makes field mowing possible for a guy with summer allergies. Pushing snow for my neighbors is actually enjoyable now with the heated cab. So far, I've added a RAM phone mount and a cheapie two-camera system that doesn't really work well bc the magnetic cam mounts don't hold.
    My future wish/idea list: a vertical exhaust stack (B3350 exhaust is larger diameter and on the right side), swap out the weak front & rear work lights for LED light bars (a good place to mount dash cameras?), better 3rd-function kit/plumbing line guards, a small tool bag/box, USB outlets. Oh yeah, and a fridge for cold beverages... just kidding.
    BTW, your original 'B' light guards are working well to protect those lights from pine branches.

  • @michaelharmon551

    Paul, you sound and look at lot like me but I'm a bit worse. When I get down like that and try
    ( Key Word Try ) to get back up, I roll like a sack of taters. Then I struggle to reach for some-
    thing that's too far away. Don't feel bad because my bones crack and pop too. I've always
    said, I'm too fat to bend over much less crawl under anything. Why it's a day's work getting
    down then getting up. After that, I may as well put off what I'm doing for another day or
    maybe a week. < That I'm kidding.
    But that is one more good looking rig. I also agree that those mods are the most important
    ones because the cost of having these components repaired or replaced is sometimes out of
    reach. Protecting your investment is of the highest priority. Great mods Paul.
    Kathy, that was clever that you quietly snook around and took a quick video of Paul getting
    down and grunting and cracking and popping. Yep, that is excatly just like me.
    God Bless you and Kathy and again that was a sneaky peek at Paul doing that. For some
    reason, I thought there would be a short clip of that. I can very much relate to you paul because I'm the same way.
    Michael from NW North Carolina

Designing and building the mods is a full time job and then some but I also have the shop expansion going on and it’s taking its toll on me. My back is really taking a hit because of it.
      Sorry to hear yours isn’t good. I know the pain you can have with it.
      You look after yourself. Thanks for watching. God bless you and yours.

    glad you guys are doing so good with the kubota stuff , to bad its not JD stuff as well ....but any how I have a vary positive suggestion I think everyone may like . If you could make some kinda of deal with your Kubota dealership to sell one of the tractors with all of your mods on it but only sell to one of your winners on your youtube contest winners of some sort , A lot of other youtube channels have had contests were they give away hats shirts etc. not saying to give it away but the opportunity to purchase a tractor with all your mods on it at a reasonable price . also I was wondering why you guys do not have any giveaways of a hat or shirt as some kind to show appreciation to your viewers or maybe you do and I mist it some how .

    • @7863348
      @7863348  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I highly doubt any dealer would go for that but I'm sure they will read this and let us know if it's something they want to do. As for the giveaways. We used to do them but now we just pick viewers at random and sent them stuff. Since we have been selling our mods we have been giving some freebe's in some order's. I'd say after giving away at least 50 hats, shirts, decals and the like we might have received two thank you's for the lot so we just gave up. Thanks for the question. Glad you like the stuff we're doing but not enough to subscribe?

    Sitting way up here in the cheap seats, it boggles my mind how the catalog of mods keeps growing. Your ideas seem limitless. It's cool to see the list grow, and new pieces go from idea to finished product so quickly. I just wonder how you are documenting the designs for future production. Sketches? CAD drawings? A lot of info to keep track of. 24 hours in a day does not seem like enough! Sorry for being so nosy.

      Terribly busy and to tell the truth I needed a small break from TH-cam. With mods to make, shop expansion going on and life in general it’s a 14-16 hour day. We’ll be back. Every now and then we need to stop and recharge. 👍

    You looked and sounded like me getting down on the ground...only I use some "colourful" language. It's fun getting older, isn't it???

      I’ve worked every day except one in the last 6 weeks and it’s taking its toll on me. My back flares up once in awhile and this time it’s not nice. Hope you and Lucy is doing well. God bless you all.

    your abrasiveness is like 300 grit sand paper well until your teasing your mother in-law lol then its more like 40 grit lol and the filming of you getting down was payback for something you did to her lol
