Assuming your numbers are correct. Here is what lesser db means
Decibels (dB) is a logarithmic - not a linear - unit of measurement for the loudness of sound. Normally a change of 1 dB is the smallest volume change detectable by the human ear. A reduction of 3 dB in noise level is equivalent to about 50% of the sound energy being removed from the system.
great inputs! Honestly, i'd rather go for an actual effect of these sound deadening stuff but they are not really that effective.
sir Dan, I just came across this video,thanks for sharing this, very informative and helpful po, one of the most honest testimonies so far. I think kahit minimal lang yung reduction sa noise, the fact that the outside noise has been reduced, it shows na nag improve pa rin. I think the minimal reduction was caused possibly by the after market exhaust,and if stock yung exhaust mas malaki ang percentage ng noise reduction. May question lang ako sir, since I think it's been 5 months this you installed the strips, how are these holding up? I mean makapit pa rin po ba ang adhesives niya? Also, off topic lang po,I just noticed the RS embroidered sign on the headrest, did you order po yan online? or kasama ng car seat? where can I find one po kaya? thank you and Godbless.
Appreciate your feedback sir! Thank you! The strips are holding up pretty well, walang angat or any signs na matatanggal, they are working same as they were installed the first time. Maganda lang cguro pag prep natin sa surface kaya kapit na kapit sya up until now... (actually reuploaded yung video 5mos ago - more than a year na sya nakakabit sa oto...😆
as for the RS embroidery, kasama sya sa inorder ko sa Upholstery shop, nag add lng ako for the embroidery service (₱500/logo)

Ang decibel ay logarithmic ang scale hindi linear. So ang 3db ay malaki nang difference. Ang 10db difference ay 100% less na sa logarithmic scale.

Yes, actually im planning to remove these and will go full sound deadening mat instead.

3dB less means the noise level has reduced by 50 percent. That's a good reduction.
Putting strip does not do anything. it is useless. no noise reduction.
yeah same observation. Not a sound deadener Though it help keeps dust away :)
It will still reduce the possible collision between the metals and also block more of the airborne sound as you block in between the metal surfaces.
Unless you already buy expensive car in which already have perfect soundproofing.
