It’s said that if the xylophone legendary weapon assists it with a combo move, every known universe will become a musical. Which doesn’t seem to be that bad but it’s weird that it happens.
By far my favourite piece in the series. It makes me so happy to listen to during an episode and during fights it gets me hyped. It's that DAMN SAX. THE SAX HERO
Buddy, as a fan of the novel and the manga, I am going to tell this to you right away: *MOTOYASU ISN'T THE WORST BEWARE THE BOW* Trust me, where the Spear is a fucking imbecile with a very serious hero complex, the bow is a fucking _monster_
@@tranle6607 Massive spoilers so I'll try to keep it vague. Of course, I got all of this from the manga/books, so I don't know if the anime will reveal it like that. You know Richia? The green haired girl who threw the barrels in episode 25? Well the anime cut out a whole scene where The bow hero basically breaks her to the point where she tries to commit suicide, and manages to convince everyone he's actually a really sensible/kind person when he does it. The other comes in way later, when he disobeys the Queen, nearly causes a massive war, and abandons smaller nations to be destroyed by an *ENORMOUS AND POWERFUL* monster cause he thinks he's in a game. I know I'm being vague, but I'm also trying to avoid the worst spoilers.
2:17 is the start of the amazing sax solo, but the best part of the sax solo is most definitely at 2:49. That part goes so well with the beat, you can't not bop your head to it. It's a groove.
It's no tho, (it lacks a strong rhythm section) I know I shouldn't be an asshole about this but it's the first thing you learn In music is rhythm this song has one but it not strong for that head pop, think about a strong *kack* from the drums
Visualize this: The saxophone represents Naofumi. The sax comes soloing against the strings which represent the tension in the scene. Throughout the piano plays at its own tune until 02:18 when the sax duets with the piano. The piano is Raphtalia. Right before this, the brass of the orchestra comes in but still in the background. As the piano/sax duet finishes the brass section swells into scene. The brass section represents allies. Although the power of the brass is building up to the end, the sax solos on never being overpowered by the brass section, even to the very end where its highest note is heard. What does this all all mean? Despite the waves taking place and Raphtalia being alone, Naofumi is alone in this world himself. This is until they finally meet and become a powerful duo. In battle, they fight alongside each other which can inspire others to want to join in and fight alongside them as well. Above all of this, it is still up to Naofumi to fight the hardest up until the final blow at the very end.
Never knew anime needed a sax! Really gives me that whole high up in the sky, fluffy yellow warm clouds, hair and clothing blowing in the wind, some grand castle hidden through cloud vale either on a mountain top or floating island, grand white final fantasy type castle/ kingdom hearts adventure/dark souls 2 dragon area vibes
Looks like Elden ring combined with rising of the shield hero. Elden Shield lol. Honestly would buy a rising of the shield hero game in a heartbeat too.
0:42 to 1:23 is the underdog in my opinion within this soundtrack, this helps build up an heroic figure ready to stand against all odds and I just love how it’s executed. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sax but I cannot deny the beauty that is what is between those time frames.
For those of you younger anime viewers; the sax used to be a common instrument for anime battle scenes. It's nice to see it make a comeback and it fits really well. I only wish they would have used it more for the sake of balance. Maybe we'll hear it more as badassery levels rise... pun intended.
