Lamont Jazz Orchestra - Spring 2024

The University of Denver's Lamont Jazz Orchestra is made up of the top graduate and undergraduate students at the Lamont School of Music's Jazz Studies program.
This recording was done over two days at Mighty Fine Studios in Denver, with Loren Dorland, engineer. It includes a challenging mix of modern orchestral jazz. Pieces featured are almost exclusively original compositions by Lamont students, alumni and faculty as well as one selection by the incomparable and legendary Maria Schneider.
