I have a co worker, very strong personality. She seems to shoot quick glances, as if to see what I am looking at, but then she looks away. Maintains good eye contact when we are talking. I can definitely say from experience that most of these signs are very real. Fellas, never tell a woman how beautiful she is, pick a feature and compliment her on it. Women hear how beautiful they are all the time. Compliment her clothes. Light teasing doesn't hurt, if they give it back, it's a good sign.

It makes sense, Melannie, but in my experience, many women, certainly not all, but probably most of them crave attention. They'll go for the guy who gives them a lot of it, assuming he's cute (the proverbial tall, dark, and handsome type). This means a man can rarely feel secure that the girl he's with -- married to, in an LTR with, or dating -- will be "loyal,” as some other man who comes along could shower his girl with attentiveness potentially stealing her away from him. I know loyalty is a word rarely heard in today's fast-paced dating culture. This “attention thing” often backfires because relationships will surely go through rough patches, and at such stages women (and guys) can be vulnerable to "attention bombing" from an interested third party at the office or elsewhere. Lastly, if a guy needs to be taught or coached how to find a mate, and can’t figure it out on his own, we have to ask this question: does he really deserve to be her mate? My answer would be that he probably needs to be someone else’s mate or even nobody’s mate. It's okay not to have a girl friend; there are countless other things you can do to live a full life.
There’s a cute girl in work who keeps looking me and this has happened for months now. I’ve had opportunities to speak to her but I just get way too nervous. Really hope I haven’t left it too late. However I may have a game plan of how I can get it rolling. So I’m going to try this! And if it doesn’t work then at least I’ve learnt for the future. Just need to tell myself I’ve got nothing to lose! Thanks for the tips!

I'm a Uni student in the UK and have just gone on spring break. when I got the train home I met a really cute girl with her friend. Her friend talked first at a train station we all changed at as we were going the same way. she was a confident blonde girl who talked a lot, blah blah blah. I made it clear I was interested in her cute ginger friend as I mainly looked at her. I could tell she was shy and nervous. turns out that's more attractive for me. when I asked her what she was studying I got all excited as she is studying film that we share an interest in. she smiled and said looking away sorry my hair is going everywhere. I said doesn't bother me, think it's cute. she made a small laugh but looked away. I knew she was interested then. I said the best way to get to know me quickly is I'm a cocktail of Deadpool, Spiderman, and the Doctor, can you deal with that? that made her laugh properly. her friend could tell what was going on and she gave me the look to tell me her name. her friend went first but she smiled at her and I could tell she was encouraging her. she said I'm Erin. I said that's a really cute name. she smiled and looked away. her voice put me at ease and that's really important to me. so her blonde friend said you go out at all? and I replied what you take me for? you think I'm a boring loser that won't go out? of course I do. she could tell I don't take myself seriously or at least I like to have fun. so I know a club they go to and said we will see you there. so planning to hopefully see them there this weekend and move on....

Well all that explains a lot. I, personally, have never seen any of these. If the hundreds of couples I've known of it happening only once, maybe twice.
Very good looking guys get this kind of treatment. I suspect that Melannie has acted this way towards beautiful men which is why she considers it the typical way she and other women engage with men. Some of these signs that you're describing are helpful, however, the one you say she likes you and doesn't continue to make eye contact. There is a young lady that I know she likes me, but she's able to continue to make eye contact. I've also noticed she looks over at me off and on continuously from a distance. She is very much an extrovert.

@@kristiannoel4866 Some women want what they can't have, this especially goes for men. Don't take women out on dates and pay for everything. Don't put aside your priorities to hang out with the women you like. Allow the woman to initiate contact, calling you sometimes.

So my question is...I'm horrible at picking up signals because for years I would think someone was interested, I'd ask them out and get the ..."oooh...I like you...just not that way" speech. How do you determine the difference between she really is interested or she is just naturally flirty? I have a friend now who confuses me. Sometimes she seems interested, and has done a lot of these "signs" you showed here. Other times it's like she couldn't care less. One day she was late to meet for lunch and she got there and apologized for being late and was like..."Sorry...this was the 4th outfit I tried on". Sometimes while talking, she reaches over and rubs my arm. Not too long ago, she was like..."I don't care who we see in concert...I just like being there with you". I've run this and other things by my other female friends and they are as confused as I am.
I had one female coworker that kept flirting with me and, despite my body language of non-interest, she kept at it. She even went so far as to leave multiple notes on my desk suggesting different things we could do. After saving and giving those notes to HR, I'm proud to say she no longer works with me. Sometimes, life is fair.

I know a girl from work and we went to a party with co-workers. She was suddenly very touchy feeling and in my space. She's not like this at work. But then I noticed she was like this with other guys as well. However she knows the other guys quite well... her and me barely know each other and are gradually becoming comfortable with each other?

This surprised you because you need to be highly physically attractive for a women to unabashedly give herself like this. Like godly level. It's shocking seeing it happen because it deconstructs the social narrative. Understand that a woman risks being called slutty when doing this, but if the man's features are good enough she'll accept this risk. I suspect Melannie has behaved this way in the past which is why she mentioned it.

I have a close gal pal who I had always thought "if we both weren't already married...". I am now divorced and she was my main emotional support, and she is now heading into a divorce while turning to me for support. I think she's giving me signals, but I also know her well enough to realize she is kind of flirty in general (always was). I certainly cannot tell if she's making extra effort to look better because she is a natural beauty. Hello everyone, I need some help. I met a girl at a local cafe and I think she is giving me some signals but due to some unfortunate events that took place before with other girls I don’t know if she’s being nice or something more.
She works at that cafe, and I usually go there everyday for breakfast and lunch. She always wants to be the one to take my order and we speak a lot, she even memorized the dates of my college exams and asks me about it. When o come in the morning for breakfast most of the times she already has te order placed and only asks to confirm (the usual). And another thing that makes me suspicious is that she calls me by name, while with other clients is always “sir” or “mam”
