Awesome video bro! Question: Instead of return tracks, i normally have an audio effect rack for the multiprocessing purpose. Do you think it impacts the final sound?
@@protester4533 my project files from the videos are on my Patreon page, but I can send you that one if you ask nicely hahahah Just lemme know where to send it, cheers :)
@@protester4533 Thank you broski!! And nahhh you're good haha, I was being serious - I can send them if that'd be helpful. Just shoot me an email at nick@myshkomusic.com Appreciate you!! ❤️
Whoa that was like some 'sub'liminal code when you said "sub" on the pedal I clicked subscribe and as soon as I did that the ableton Sub turned youtube sub in red.. and you said subscribe 😅 hahha insane synchronicity.. great video btw! Cheers 🎉
No worries bro, so I searched for the 909 kick using Ctrl+F I dragged the kick sample onto my MIDI track I then made a MIDI clip in the session view (by double clicking one of the empty bars) And then I was able to put the notes in the MIDI clip by double clicking Just a quick watered down explanation, let me know if it helps or if you still have trouble
Wtf i tried to replicate the 909 with the bass tail and put the same two Pedal plugins and it doesn't sound the same at all, not even full, how is that possible:D
Hmm, I also changed the pitches of the kick and the bass, could that be it? Or maybe it's a different start/end time? I also have the samples in one shot mode, so that they don't get cut off prematurely. Let me know!
@@MyshkoMusic Nevermind my mistake, didin't notice you had the gains up on the pedals. But thank you for this tutorial, hopefully you can make something more on hard techno, it was great !:)
what if i layer multiple kicks, can i use one of them for the bass or do i need to use both kicks layered? Also does it have to be the same kick or can you use a diferent kick for the bass?
to be honest bro... whatever sounds good... lol. there's no specifc one-size-fits-all formula. you can use a different kick. I'd try out all the combinations and see which one you like the most. Cheers!
@@gutiguerra4042 thank you so much for the suggestion! to be honest, I'm likely going to be focusing more on other subgenres of techno and general production content in the near future. Cheers! And no, to my knowledge, there shouldn't be any difference between these two methods.
Tho I like using return tracks to save CPU power :D
Hellnawh, I'll just download the video and just copy the kick
