Does this whole process still work today? Late to the BOTW party and I just started playing it this year. Wanted to know if this will still work.
It isn't just that NTAG215 NFC tags "work the best." It is that NFC 215 encrypted tags are necessary, being the format Ninty uses for all amiibo.

Just wanted to make sure when people look at places to buy NFC tags, they don't see that NTAG215 NFC tags are markedly more expensive, and buy NTAG 217s to save money. Then, get frustrated when they can't get them to work with TagMo.

Wanted to get some Animal Crossing Amiibo cards to get certain characters for my island, but my favorite character Lucky was 90 freaking bucks so this will save me a small fortune to get these characters.

@@LackToesInTallOrRent I did notice a lot of the files on website don't unzip on my phone and I gotta go through like 2 or 3 people's uploads before I find one that works with my phone though. But I got 7 amiibos now.
i cannot be the only one wishing we could just loads the NFC for which ever amiibo we like on our phone then touch that to the switch and it just works as an amiibo

Technology literally blows my mind. This is an incredible technique. I did this by downloading the bin files from a Dropbox account and writing them via a tweak for my iPhone. Thanks for the help!!!

If you have a 3D printer you can do a split print, put the tag in while it's printing and it'll be read through the plastic

If one has the time, you can cut out 2 small wooden chips, burn in the face of the corresponding amiibo using an soldering iron on one chip and the n sandwich the sticker between those wooden chips.
You will have beautiful wooden coins with Nintendo characters on them.

Dude, outstanding! I can't believe how easy this process was and how well it works! Awesome job man. Like one of the guys below me, I DID have to use my laptop to unzip them and place the files on my phone (because I was too lazy to download a zip file app). @@DuskPShermanWallaby123 I used a Samsung Galaxy S9+! But as long as your phone has the NFC function, you can use it, it doesn't have to be a super new model.
On which site did you find the amiibo codes?
He used nfc bank but there is no animal crossing new horizons
@@paulthiele02 I got them from nfc bank, too! You don't need the files specifically for New Horizons, I just picked one that got updated recently and had all 4 sets.

How?? It says the Google drive files, needed to have tagmo working properly and unavailable for me.
Can you just use your phone as the card, and have the switch scan the phone? EDIT: Don't answer this. Already found that there's no easy way to do this.
Pls explain, because that would seem very logical to me. Why is the nfc tag a necessity? Why cant a phone just send the loaded up data to the switch?

I still TagoMo is more or less built around Amiibos would be great if worked like the old Skylanders app (which went deep under ground after they threatened to sue). You didn't need to write the tags, you just loaded the tag on the phone (or the skylanders the portal) and it transmitted the nfc data that way.
Would these work on Smash bros Ultimate as Figure Fighters like the standard amiibos?

Just noticed the Vid. is 3 Yrs. old.... Meaning probably most of the Files and/or Downloads don't work anymore

Unfortunately you can't rewrite NFC tags but those paper things aren't that expensive

Couldn't you just put your phone to the switch? There isn't a way to make your phone act like the tag so you can switch it to whichever .bin and not have a permanent physical one?
Of you put a probably like $86648626842684624674267642762467236762846467426642642826248684262468 dollar customizable NFC chip in your phone then it would probably work.

Okay, so I have everything. But when I go to write tag it keeps saying "Transceive fail " and the tags I'm using are NFC215 tags. I don't know if my bf android is old but this is just frustrating.

Yes, and it will always(!) work because Amiibos use the same tech (ntag215 nfc tags). These tags are 1:1 copies of the original and Nintendo's hardware can't see any difference. The only way this will stop working is when Nintendo switches to a different nfc tech, which means new hardware and it will render all existing Amiibos useless.

I got it to work. fixed the error problems by unzip the file in my computer. than i transfer them to the download file in my phone. thanks for the step by step video.
Dilfido Ventura i think i stumble in the same problem.. using my note 8, and im having trouble even to unzip the amiibo files.. so you unzipped them on PC then move the unzipped back to the note 8? and it worked?
Nugroho Adipradana A lot of people seem to be having that issue. I used androzip to unzip the files, but most people are havig success unzipping on PC then transferring the files.
it is possible to unzip files directly from the note 8.
Using just the note 8 alone (no computer):'
Download everything from this video's description.
Make sure you've enabled the function to download and install from
chrome via the phone's privacy settings.
Unzip the amiibo files and install the apk file. you can find these with the "My Files" app preinstalled. the files should be in the "download" folder in your internal storage.
Provided you have the right phone and knowhow, you shouldn't need a computer at all for this process.

You cant overwrite Amiibo's they are locked after they are writen one time.

Hello can anyone help me? Whenever I try to import the key files to the tagmo app it claims that the key file signature doesn't match :( I've tried exporting it from the SD card and internal storage but it won't work

@@goorgelas05 I finally found a method. Though it’ll vary based on your option. I don’t want to say but there is a storage site that has, from what they claim, every Amiibo bin file and they’re legitimate.

If the files are on your phone, couldn't you just use your phone as an amiibo instead of writing the files on the tags?
No. The Switch/Wii U/3DS reads an NFC tag. There is no NFC tag in your phone, it can only interact with NFC in certain ways.
If this wasn't the case, you could also use your phone open hotel rooms.
Well I have had an idea really with a little bit of work u can easy take the base of the amibo off and take out what's scanning in the amibo and then replace it with that card
