A Nostalgic look at Early PC Spongebob Games

- Way back in the day games for the computer used to be sold in stores on discs, and it just so happen that some of these were Spongebob games! These three in particular were apart of my childhood in regards to gaming on the PC, but how do they hold up to an older version of myself? MHH maybe if you watch the video instead of reading the description you'd find out.

MAANNN! Operation krabby patty, and employee of the month were my JAMS when i was kid! Same with Pajama sam and Putt Putt and that one gold fish game.
YOOOOO Pajama Sam was a certified classic indeed!
Employee of the month is giving me Deja Vu, and it's annoying. I don't remember if I played the game when I was a kid, or if my brain is seeing the reused models from Battle for Bikini Bottom and telling me that I've played it.
The only reason I even remember ever playing Operation Krabby patty is that in Jellyfish Fields there is this really creepy jellyfish. It's brown-grey, and has the shadow of a realistic human face on it. It terrified me as a kid, and I looked it up again recently to see if it was really real, and it is.
The PC version of Battle for Bikini Bottom was my jam. I never got to play the console version, but I still remeber a good number of the minigames from the PC version. I remember the Chum Bucket item minigame being that you had to build a rube goldberg machine out of all the parts you picked up, which makes me wonder how I ever got past the two minigames you pointed out. I was too young to look up walkthroughs at the time, it was the family computer, but still.
Hey man! Just wanted to say that this video is incredibly well-made and I’m surprised it hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves. I remember playing Spongebob games on my family’s computer so much back in the day, especially Employee of the Month. It was only the demo for the game but I replayed it over and over countless times. Merry Christmas and I hope to see more content in the future!
Thanks for the nice comment :) Hopefully one day I can get a few more eyes on me, but honestly right now I’m focused on just improving and having fun with video making! It’s funny you bring up the demo, because I’m pretty sure I was at one point going to talk about how cool it was that these older PC games often times featured demos with related games and other little goodies. I honestly would love to do another similar video about more older cartoon PC games, so maybe one day I’ll deliver on that haha. Merry Christmas, I hope it’s a good one for ya :D
God-tier content. Unfortunate that there's an oversaturation in high effort essay style gaming content on youtube now, so this will probably go underappreciated. But I still hope you keep at it cause I love this shit.

EOTM is a really good game.
You're kind of overestimating the easiness of it, cuz it would still be hard for new players.
But the MOVIE game on PC is a much better game.
And Lights Camera Pants PC is pretty much what you wished for - a more open ended game.

could you stop using ai voices and do your own impressions?
I try to use text to speech sparingly across my “normal” type of content, but this video in particular is a bit old so I’m not sure how much I actually used it here. Def using it less now a days BUT I do enjoy using it still for specific situations. Although, I have been messing around trying to get a text to speech esk sounding voice working with effects to replace it so mhh maybe!
