Do you have any videos or instruction on repair to the frame itself? I have wooden frame but the corners where they join need repaired, looks like the metal piece to connect the 2 pieces is broken. Thanks!
Sadly you did not show us how to set and pull the screen tight as on aluminum screens. Surely you don’t just lay the screen allowing movement in the wind.
Mine have spring-loaded knobs that are pulled out from the screen to lock into the window frame. Are those still available on the market? My moldings are so old that the wood has rotted away and those pull out knobs are rusted and broken.
Search the web to try to match anything you need to replace and/or find a local woodcrafter if you aren't doing the repairs yourself. They can figure it out! I thought calling Ace Hardware as an answer wasn't too helpful, but if they have the spring loaded locks... great! I want to make mine from scratch in the old style, bc it's just making a frame and putting in screen. I found the old style hooks online that they use to hang screens with and a simple screen lock on the sill.

I was more interested in your technique for stretching the screening but you didn't cover that.
