When you can find over a dozen videos on how to open a container of gelato, it is time for Talenti to reconsider their current user design. What the actual f*ck?
The fact that there are this many of us who struggled to open their Talenti container to the point someone had to do upload a tutorial is both hilarious and annoying. 😂
COMPLETELY! I was so frustrated I threw away the first Talenti I purchased bc I couldn't get the damn thing open and I tried the above method. There is another video that shows how to open a Talenti container using a flat head screwdriver which worked for me. Regardless, WhyTF would a manufacturer create a product, (not to mention expensive), that's challenging to merely open. Further, using a sharp instrument, (knife, scissors, etc), has a high probability of being used for a first attempt. The chances are also high that the user will get cut. Scary to think of a child using that method. Just sayin'

I thought of that tried & true method but didn’t try bc it would start to melt the gelato. I’d have to run it under hot water for a while, I’m afraid. I used the method in this demo video.

Bought gelato for the first time, Talenti and could not get it open. Was happy to see that it was not just my problem. I am arthritic and I guess I did not tap in the right places. Was ready to place it in the garbage bin. finally turned upside down in boiling water and got the lid off. I will not buy it again. I see by the comments that this problem has been going on for several years. You would think that Talenti would fix it.
Thank you! I usually firmly tap my glass jar lids on a hard floor and voila But I had to beat these talenti containers with a damn tenderizer pretty damn hard. Surely thru can redesign the damn lid. Surely customer service gets several calls a day about it....

I put the Talenti container in the microwave for 18 seconds, and it opens immediately- also, because the icecream has been 'warmed', it is easier to scoop out, without breaking the scoop, or your wrist.🤪
He's using my pickle jar method on the Talenti but it's easier to just hold the jar upside down and run the bottom of the lid rim under hot water. The lid turns easily after doing that. No tools needed.
That only works if you have elbow grease. For people like me, especially since I have arthritis after doing this the jar would still be impossible to open. I have contacted the company and they told me they're planning on replacing the jars with an easier to open lid.
Nope didn’t work , I believe our Walmart glues them shut! I have broke open several only to find non edible talenti gelato layers inside USA food is crap!

Run hot water from the sink on the cap for like 2 seconds and the cap comes off easily.
