I am not sure about this course but most times people do not work in the line they study until after several years when they get the work experience. So you think, is it something you will love doing in the future or you plan to switch to some thing better? You also have to be prayerful because one year course will only give you one year PGWP. Most people are lucky though.
Continuing care assistant is just like nursing assistant, they are in high demand in Nova Scotia. Don't be scared , one you are done with school, you can easily get job. Nova Scotia health authority posts the job vacancies at all times. Just get their requirements in Canada
There are lots of schools with one year program that offer PGWP and are DLI you can find this on IRCC website or type on your browser “ designated schools in Canada for 1 year program “
As you know she needs to show living expenses of $10,000. If you can show additional $4.000 for the husband and $3,000 for each child then you can go ahead to apply for the entire family otherwise the student comes first and then family later

Transportation is cheap if you use bus it’s about $3 per ride with transit, food is not expensive but accommodation is not too cheap though
