Thanks for the great video! I am persuaded to get these for my Int650 but need clarification whether the bracket is SL9051 for twins 650 or SL9053 as indicated in the video 🤔. Your setup looks good as it does not involve the suspension 👍
It's actually PL9051 from GIVI, you are correct, our mistake. I've chosen these ones as they leave the suspension alone, and mount to the frame, not the suspension bolt, which was crucial for me - easier to take off and get back to original look. |Artur
Thanks for your confirmation 👍. Yes it is difficult to balance practical storage -vs- maintaining original look of the bike. My task is more difficult as I will be getting a top box that fix 2 helmets 😅 - hopefully these panniers may smoothen the looks of the chunky top box 😂.
Great video, I'm thinking about getting them for my interceptor, but I'm wondering, can you still take a pillion with the cases on? It looks like the footrests are still accessible, but is there enough legroom....?
Hiya! Did a quick test for ya, a 36cm x 25cm laptop fits no problemo, that's a 15 inch I believe. Didn't have a 16 inch laptop, so couldn't check that, sorry 😅 |Artur
@@2T2R2 Nope, they are sloped at the front so the pillion can angle their legs down for the foot pegs. Yes they are symetrical so you can mount them how you like. However, with the panniers mounted the correct way it aids air flow. What was that you were saying about glasses...lol
I mount them the way I do because that way they align better with the line of the exhaust and seat. It just works better for me. And let's be honest, do you really need to worry about airflow when the bike is doing 47hp and my avarage speed while touring is 30mph? Well... I'm personally not worried about that at all |Art
@@2T2R2 At the end of the day you mount them how you like it is your bike. If you just potter around and never take a pillion. It is your needs you have to suit not mine. The less power you have the more important air flow is. For example I used to have a 2015 Honda Forza scooter to get to work,15 bhp. I was mocked by a colleague because I had spent the money and bought the genuine Honda box and he had bought a far cheaper one. Anyway the Forza Box is sculptured the cheaper box while a good make was not. We had a race down the motorway. Once we got over 65 mph my bike started to pull away. His top speed was 5 mph slower than mine. We swapped boxes then his bike was faster than mine. For a short commute to work I suggest the fuel consumption difference would be minimal. However, for a 40 mile blast down the motorway I suggest you would notice it. Also the worse the aerodynamics the more you are affected by cross winds. A high performance motorbike can just power through poor aerodynamics, however it is still affected by crosswinds. If you look at the top box on my old scooter you can see the aerodynamic design rather than just a slab of plastic on the back. th-cam.com/video/lKLnS85FzFA/w-d-xo.html

Oh Mate, that's going to be tricky... Can't even imagine how chunky will that top box be 😅 drop us a photo on Insta when it's done 😉 |Artur
I thought you were going to throw the key into the woods after you locked the tp up. 😆
🤣 well there are three keys in this set, so I could have 😆 but on the other hand what if you found it? 😯 | Artur
If I found it I wouldn't take all your tp. I'm not a monster🫠
PL9051 or PL9053?
9053. It is written in the video.
Bless you, Nigel! I always get it confused :/ |Artur

Good question! To be honest, I've never tried them with a "backpack" 😅 I'll try that, maybe over the weekend! | Artur
@@2T2R2 Did you ever got around testing this hahaha?
Lol, been a year now, so as you may guessed by now... Not really 😆 Mainly because I only ride myself, never taking any pillions. |Art
E22n should be 22rolls, if we squeeze in a little bit more 🤔
Nah, that's a different model, E22RLS 😆 |Art
Does a laptop 13”/16” fits in it?

How many cans of beers 😊
All of them! 😆 |Artur
You are not mounting them the right way, the forward facing lower part is supposed to be at the front.
You feeling OK Mate? Need glasses or anything? |Art
