I’m usually watching these on my PS5 and can’t comment and rarely remember to come back and comment but I really appreciate you continuing to post about your journey. As someone who has watched you for years and, like you, went from struggling and bouncing around to different languages to finding a method that is working for us and persevering, I always get inspired watching your videos. -Rose
@ I’m doing great, thanks! Should be hitting 1,000 hours of Spanish with DS and other CI in the next few weeks, first speaking class scheduled for March 1. Also my husband and I should be closing on a house (in Florida, moving to NC had to be postponed indefinitely) in the next couple weeks! I hope you and your wife and son are doing well!! I think last time we talked about Spanish you were still immersing occasionally, if so I would love an update sometime!
I'm also wondering, are you using Mandarin Blueprints mnemonic story method to remember? I'm about 9 months in and have an okay recognition ability, I think mostly because of Anki, but I don't their mnemonic method, it seemed incredibly convoluted to setup
Awesome video as always Jonathan
Thank you!

I used to use skritter, however I just can't afford another subscription service.

Thank you!
Have you looked into Mandarin Companion books? I recommend!
I have, i'll eventually pick some of their stuff up.

It's enjoyable to me. It's actually incredibly easy to set up, seeing as how you yourself make the mnemonics. And it's explained very very well.
Perhaps combine with videos by SwedishSinologyNerd and 漢字叔叔講漢字
Hey! Are you writing your own anki cards? I currently use Pleco to instantly create a card. The definitions just aren't amazing.
No, i copy and paste.
