- Here’s a video to introduce our K-9 friends that we have here at Austonley Irish Wolfhounds!
All 10 Wolfhounds, White Swiss Shepard, Whippet and Lurcher live in our humble home alongside our family of 5.

I love all your dogs, and envious of your views...
This is heaven to see all your lovely wolfhounds. I have had 4 over the years but only once two at one time. I never forget them all . I would love to have them again but I am very elderly and disabled now and although I know how gentle they can be it would not probable be fair on them now for me to have them. So I have a lovely smaller dog but how i would love another wolfhound.
I watched your video again and it was great to see you introduce all the dogs individually.I presume they all seem to live in the house with you. Here is a picture of 2 of the dogs i had years ago with my old Great Dane.I used to be a member of the Irish Wolfhound Rescue Society and was lucky enough to be allowed to have 2 rescue dogs through them.

I hope you are doing well as you can be without your hounds and unable to take care of pets to keep you company, God bless and I hope you are managing well and have some help, it's sad to see someone unable to have a pet friend to be around bcos they can no longer look after them as a pet really is a great thing to have while your living with some struggles and could do with the company ..I have always lived alone myself and have always had a dog iv had 3 dogs in my entire life and all lived to 15-17 years old especially when they reach an old age they take a lot of caring for and veterinary visits as most dogs have some form of health complications when they reach am old age

I always had rugs everywhere. He didn't like floors without rugs. Oh my,mine was a tailbanger. I learned how to bandage a tail.
Lovely Hounds! My first IW thirty years ago did the "sit on the couch with butt", AND had tail bleed...looked like an axe murder was in my dining groom for awhile. There is some variety in personality, my current rescue is VERY obedient...the first I've had that actually could go into an obedience competition. They are marvelous and addictive -- but also expensive to vet, feed, and care for.
I always say that Irish Wolf hounds are big furry angels who make you laugh, give slobbery kisses..and rearrange your house with their wicked tails😍😍😍😍😍
And the way they sit on furniture is absolutely hilarious.

Bautifull dogs these. I have great dane, but this is my secong dream breed. I am just afraid they are so sensitive and easy to be ill and die, arent they? One day I will get this dog as well!!
I want an Irish wolfhound SO BAD! They're my favorite! I'm a dog groomer, and anytime an Irish wolfhound comes in, im in love! They're such good pups! I'm honestly jealous you guys get to love on and take care of so many!

Gorgeous dogs. I’m from the US and I’m not sure if they are seen much here. At least I’ve never seen them here. Haha. Anyways, much respect for taking such great care of the pups.
Here in Ireland you don't really see these anymore just the odd person will have one here very spiritual dogs they were bred here a long long time ago by Celtic warriors I couldn't tell you a lot about them as I have never fully studied these animals but iv learned a bit in school I have to say there a lot like us Irish kinda rugged and messy looking 😂great to see others keep them going and breeding them still would love to see more of them here

I saw one of the dogs had its tail amputated. Our first IWH cut his tail on the corner of the wall. He sprayed blood all over the house. We did everything we could to save his tail but he kept injuring if. Our next two had no problem. They wagged low. Only the first one wagged high. He never missed it.

I just love all the personalities. The video was great. Keep them coming. Would love to see one on grooming. Saxon, our IW is doing better with my brushing weekly. I have never hand stripped him and use a brush, comb and Mars Coat King. I would just like to learn more. Thanks!!

I have an Irish Wolfhound cross with a Rhodesian Ridgeback and I absolutely adore the IW breed. My big beautiful boy is 12 years old and I can't imagine now having any other breed. I just love Irish Wolfhounds.

They are all magnificent! I thought my brood of 2 Chihuahuas were alot. I've never seen a wolfhound but they do like like gentle giants! Thanks for sharing!
They're so gorgeous! We've had a Dane in the past but, we're looking into getting a IWH. They are fairly rare here so sussing out a great breeder may be difficult. They're worth it! So lovely and with just the temperament we love.
Having had a not THAT tall greyhound with happy tail and a house thus transformed into a 3-floor crime scene with blood spatter on the walls, I can't even IMAGINE the walls after an Irish Wolfhound! :-O That said 1) Tayla is my absolute favourite (eating and cuddling? Yes, please!) and 2) Spending days playing 'big spoon' on the floors to all these gorgeous lounging pups must surely be an occupational hazard! Thanks for sharing your corner of heaven!
Andrea Bond-Killmond yes, blood everywhere including the ceiling!!! It got infected 3 times and we managed to save it but she spent a lot of time wearing pipe lagging and ladies tights!!! The last time it split we just decided she had had enough ❤️

QUESTION. I see the throw rugs over your hardwood floors, etc. Are they to prevent the dogs from slipping or to help with cleaning.
I have rugs everywhere on my hardwood floors too and they are there just to stop the dogs slipping.
