So nostalgic watching this game, came back to see MJ wear the Air Jordan 11s UNC blues. This NBA was the backdrop of my childhood , it’s just not the same product now.
Man...Didn't realize just how great we had it back then... Pretty much all the players on both sides became legends..Damn, it sucks to see how it degraded almost 20 years later.
Olajuwon, Drexler, Barkley all starting for the West and a year later teammates on the Rockets. Also, that center court logo with the Alamo along with the creatively designed jerseys are fantastic, definitely missing from the super bland uniforms many teams sport these days.

I would have been surprised anyone would still be in the game in the 4th against that squad. Jordan , Hardaway, Pippen, Grant Hill and Shaq. Shaq was Shaq of course , but the other 4 moved like guards and stood like power forwards. Constant mismatches on defense and almost impossible to create one on offense.
As of 2024, this is the last time San Antonio hosted an NBA All-Star Game. I see no reason why the Frost Bank Center couldn't host it in the near future. Unless they'd host it in the Alamodome again.

That's a bold statement, but it sucks injuries ruined Grant Hill's career. He still had a solid career later on in his career, but he wasn't the same player.
the main mistake was from pippen. had pippen moved from bulls to (for example) supersonics, spurs, lakers, pacers, pistons or so... and jordan surely wouldn't had won his many titles.
