I also replaced fingerprint sensor on my P30 Pro (with flat cable) and it's not working, sensor need to be paired with the screen and you need service box (Sigma for example) to do it, so don't bother to change the sensor if yu can't pair it, the phone will work normally without it.

Is the fingerprint scanner not paired to the main board?

It is paired to motherboard and if you replace finger print scanner it has to be calibrated. Otherwise a new scanner won't work.

Normally phones have service codes where you can test hardware and do calibration etc but I haven't found yet a real service code for Huawei P30. Still searching... Those expensive Huawei services do have software to do calibration... This is what I have heard...

you've either not connected it properly or you may have made it faulty. Flex cables are very fragile and needs to be handled carefully. i advise reconnecting the fingerprint. if still the same result then replace the finger print scanner.

@@fezaanali9017 I also replaced fingerprint sensor on my P30 Pro and new one is not working. I tried then another one and also replaced flat cable and still not working. I then read on net that sensor must be paired with the screen, so you need someone who has repair boxes (sigma box i heard is best for Huawei) and problem will be solved.
