4000 reel size can be best for jetty casting and freshwater casting for shore/surf based casting I would recommend to have 9 ft and above paired with any 5000 size reel which has minimum of 10 kg drag power

Main line:30 lb to 40 lb 8xbraided line(0.25 mm to 0.30mm diameter thickness)
Leader line: monofilament line 0.70mm to 0.80mm thickness
For surf casting setup
Rod:10ft rod ability to cast 120 grams of weight within the rod weight of 300grams
Reel:5000 reel with powerful knobs combined with 10kg of max drag and more ability to spool about 200 and above line
Main line: 50lb and more (0.25 and 0. 30mm thickness)
Leader line :60lb to 80lb monofilament leader
