Thank you for presenting this. We are boaters in Canada have a cruiser and been to Alaska and a Jetboat and done rivers into the NWT. Find the English canals such an adventure not because of the water but because the water takes you to interesting places. you are showing what us aging people can do we are 73 and 75.
I just stumbled across this and am enchanted, one of the best things I've seen lately, I'm totally hooked. I have watched 3 already this evening. Has anyone else noticed the marked likeness of Gyles Brandreth to the actor Graham Crowden? Especially around the eyes and the voice is so similar, at first I thought it was him.
Might have been nice to acknowledge Tim West and Prunella Scales, who were major campaigners, volunteers and donors to save the canals, who began this series, and only left due to Prunella's health. Really offended that this series has so abandoned their previous stars. Who WERE genuine, multi decades long, canal boaters, and enthusiasts.
Sheila, you look marvelous; I'm 75 and remember seeing you on the television as a teenager. Keep going and enjoy your canal venture!

This may be the longest Aqueduct in England, but the Pontcysytille Aqueduct at Llangollen is twice as long at 1,007feet long.
