I’m from shaw rd born and raised and I thought fayettnam was so bad until I married a soldier and moved to his city with him in the hood he’s from to save money. So many murders back to back… we live back here in Fayetteville and it feels so suburban and peaceful to me now😂 and the people are friendly here for the most part

I'm from up north --Wilmington Delaware to be exact. But, I've been living in Fayetteville NC for for 24 years. These places are NOT the "hood" They have good and bad areas where some are more fortunate than others, but not hood. You must not know what hood is. And everyone is not angry. This is a military town. People come and go from all over!! Yes, some people are regimented and that's because they're military. People just mind their business for the most part. So, don't put us all into one classification. Fayetteville is a very diverse town. I personally live in a condo on the west side of Fayetteville in a very beautiful neighborhood!! But you didn't come out this way. You should watch what you're saying if you don't know what you're talking about.

Pamela Fox is correct it's an Air Force and Army town with a large temporary population due to changing military orders. Soldiers (some but not all) raise Cain when out and about on base. Luke Fort Benning in Georgia a few unruly apples spoil it and the local community is sick of it hence the chilly welcome. Try Goldsboro NC nice little suburb and a community of neighbors who watch out for each other and welcome out of State home buyers with true genuine hospitality. A dear friend of mine Inherited a business there after his Uncle passed away during COVID. It was failing so he was literally wasting money on hotels flying back and forth In AZ. So he purchased a home to stay in while he is out there. Gorgeous home fair price nice community and neighbors. He spent 2 years making the buisness viable, profitable, and kept every employee employed. He is now selling the business to a local metal foundry. But he said he doesn't have the heart to sell the house. He feels welcome there and will use it to get away from AZ. And when he's ready he plans to sell his home of 20 plus years in AZ and retire in Goldsboro.

I live 35 miles away in the country, but have worked and basically lived in Fayetteville, we love our military, our neighbors, negative portraying outsiders, jackasses and Yankees, we don’t care for. Drive safe on your way out, try and have some respect, it’s the largest military installation in the world. So the people you’re referring to make you able to ride around making a living pointing out neighborhoods shortcomings.

Alot of people come from both places to Fayetteville for parties and shit like that, thats when it gets real ghetto and violent. other then that you wont have trouble if youre simply walking down the street or minding your own buisness.
