I REALLY enjoyed this interview - it's great to actually get Satchel's thoughts, insights and opinions about things! Nice work - great interview!

They have visited Belgrade Serbia, and their jokes made me smile all show. They have connected with the audience and we all enjoyed till the last second.

Satchel sure loves to talk... but he's very passionate and knows exactly what he's talking about. Loved the question about rocking to these songs at 60 years old - considering the dude is 52 (and looks phenomenal btw lol). Long live the Panther! 🔥

Satchel is one of the most fun and witty musicians of the last 20 years. I would pay for a 3 hour concert of him doing improv talking and guitar solos

He's very talented for sure! I'm glad he let his persona/guard down a little in this interview and get to know the real Satchel/Russ

Steel Panther is my favorite band of all time. I’ve been listening to them since feel the steel. I’m lucky I got to meet half of them last summer at a music festival. I got vip meet and greet ticket on this coming tour. They are literally the only band I listen to at work so I listen to them 40-60 hours a week.

@@BelgianJasper yeah got ALL their songs memorized to the point I could definitely be the lead singer of a Steel Panther cover band. hell I even have half the new album that came out today memorized already! Kinda helps they put out videos for 3 of the songs before hand.

Cool interview! A long long time Dutch fan here. And ironically every time I was working the west coast those geriatrics metal heads were playing in the Netherlands! It was just frustrating! In 2019 I was finishing a TV show and looked to catch perhaps a Steel Panther before I flew back. And sure enough they were playing the Whiskey! So I go online… sold out 🙄So I drove to Norm’a vintage guitars to buy a guitar - ended up with a US Charvel. And the guy there had a friend who had tickets and he may have someone not come. So he called and sure enough I could buy a ticket for 75 bucks 😂So I had to drive to Santa Monica to some appartement and pick up the ticket. And it was awesome!
Then in February 2020 they played in my home town Utrecht and it was even better! It was awesome. The weird thing was that for a web show that I worked on we did a music overdub and video remake of “party like tomorrow is the end of the world.”
So basically a parody of a parody band. Super “meta”! And some of the audience members recognized use from it.Really awkward 😂
I did all of this in 24 hours.

@@BelgianJasper your questions and Satchel’s responses were word perfect. Nailed it regarding the audience having the band’s back. I think the new album sounds so good. I suspect that Covid lockdowns really helped writers get compositions to their potential.

I'm thoroughly convinced that Steel Panther is the best rock band out there right now, the new album is KILLER! I just saw them a couple weeks ago for the 3rd time, not only did they not miss one single beat, they've actually gotten better than the last couple times I saw them if that's at all possible. If they come to your hometown and you miss it, you're missing out big time.

Like Anthony Bourdain said about Japan. Everyday is avoiding land mines with every step you take. There are so many rules and if you break one benign rule you could be facing a prison sentence. I'm sure concerts are very strict and one wrong move could be a be a hefty fine. So, I'm sure there are a ton of enthusiastic fans, they just can't act upon their emotions of having freedom to have unbridaled fun. Plus, there is the aspect of respect. Citizens must respect their neighbors and their elders and the police. And the concert goers also have a reputation to uphold. If they get caught in an unsightly photo or arrested or in any uncompromising gossip, they can loose their job and kiss their careers goodbye. It's serious business. You never want to do anything to your reputation or to your family's reputation to tarnish it, EVER. So, the Japanese keep their enthusiasm under wraps. To westerners it's unusual and weird and not understandable, however, it's one of the safest countries to visit... as long as you abide by the rules 😊. Whew... looking at Satch makes me... oh, must be respectful. 😉. He's such a heartthrob! ❤❤! 🌹🌸😊❤✌🥰😍😘!!!
