Witherfall - They Will Let You Down (Official Music Video) th-cam.com/video/8QBT0wfhQ2I/w-d-xo.html
"They Will Let You Down" is Dark Melodic Progressive Metal. Knowing this song would be the opener Zeuss and Joseph decided to make sure to wave the flag of traditional metal right off the bat with a shining high note of falsetto madness. The Pre-chorus is Anthemic and almost Hopeful
Witherfall - Ceremony Of Fire (Official Music Video) th-cam.com/video/Y8UiY5n6LFc/w-d-xo.html
"Ceremony of Fire is quintessential Witherfall", comments the band. "This song features elements that are cornerstones of the Witherfall sonic landscape from dark haunting hooks, to eclectic musical twist and turns. For the fans of our debut album Nocturnes And Requiems you will be very pleased with this. The Video is a great representation of the lyrical theme. Filmed in part inside the ritual chamber at The Crooked Path in Burbank California, the video represents the harsh realities of the artists path."
Witherfall - Insidious (Official Video) th-cam.com/video/8TWfrv5NkKc/w-d-xo.html
"After a crazy writing and recording spree that had us crisscrossing the USA and working in five different states. We present to you perhaps the most involved Witherfall production to date. "Insidious" first single from our 4th full length album. The song was birthed at four in the morning under a foggy full moon in a stream of consciousness with the central theme and musical landscape written/improvised in a single take. The contrasting consonance and dissonance in the composition takes listeners on a decent into madness. The song was recorded with all analog instruments and was Co-Produced by Zeuss. The video produced by both Bradley Cooper and Cig Neutron represents the pervasive malaise and general sense of division in our current culture. We wish we could say no puppets were harmed during the making of this video..."
Witherfall - What Have You Done? (Official Music Video) th-cam.com/video/t2UB95ULdDU/w-d-xo.html
The mood pervading the "Sounds Of The Forgotten" writing sessions was one of frustration and sadness.
Already our current decade has seen a disproportionate amount of strife we were barely at the beginning of it. Just as we were starting to see some light at the end of the "plague" then the real bogey that lurks in the shadows showed itself. We take no comfort in that the most devastating virus to plague our civilization this decade is not Covid it is misinformation.
What Have You Done?
At the beginning of composing the song we had a feeling it was going to be the albums closing piece. The three movements that carry you through to it's musical conclusion mirrored real life for us in a profound way. The song is an ode to despair. A dark reminder that like Icarus we are all fallible and prone to misdeeds. Hopefully that light at the end of the tunnel we thought we were seeing can make it's way to us and shine a light into a brighter future.

prika is fucking awesome
LORD BENTON 🤘🤘
I always thought it was just ‘hell’ spelled upside down
The album is literally about ai what is the problem
🍷
👊
It's entertainment.....and it's music. I'm a Christian, and I love and enjoy Deicide's music. It's amazing to me that people actually get their panties in a bunch over an "A.I." cover 😂 and other similar nonsense. Who cares. Bottom line is they're one of the best metal bands of all time, with outstanding musicianship (prime example - Steve!!) and with longevity. Glen is an artist, a businessman, and an entertainer.
Best black metal album in decades! Mind blowing 🤯 🔥
🔥🔥🔥 what's your favorite song?
@@BelgianJasper definitely the cattle thief!!
6:18 Blood Duster, Mortal Sin, Psycroptic, Armoured Angel, Destroyer 666, Atomizer, Rose Tattoo, Cosmic Psychos, Celibate Rifles, Radio Birdman, The Powder Monkeys to name but a few
Richie Faulkner is better……
It's not a competition. Where did you pull that gem of a comment out from? Oh wait...from where the sun don't shine. 'Oh hey, here's a video of Paul Gilbert playing great, let me post my love of Richie Faulkner and let the world know I think he's numba one and better than Paul. Keep yourself in check.
Glen Tipton is miles better than Riche Faulkner
@@WillPowerGuitar Lmmfaooo sorry if the truth hurts you pendeja so get out if your feelings and then gtf over it plus i never mentioned “competition “ nimrod, you did🤣
They all sucks, Kirk hammett is better
@@FlyingVplayer. kurk is a gender confused prong slurper and wishes he was in Megadeth…..
I'm glad Luke is in a good place and he trusts his bandmates. Shocking what happened re: Ian and LP.
Thank you for this broadcast. I like the way you do interviews. You have many interesting guest, for example underrecognized Charlotte. Please keep up the good work!
Thank you! Glad you enjoy the interviews 👊 what do you think of Charlotte's new single?
@BelgianJasper I love it! I think it's a beautyful piece of art. I love the grit in her voice towards the end of the song.
Anathema imploded amidist rumours circulating about the guitarist
Band-maid ❤❤❤
New album is fantastic, probably their most melodic outing.
What songs do you hope they play live?
@@BelgianJasper pix lax dax, yggdrasil and like father like son. What bout you?
@@DH-hl5tc for me Like Father Like Son stands out most 👊
Killer interview. Glenn seems like a chilling dude.
He definitely was when I talked to him 👊 will you get to see them live this summer?
@@BelgianJasper I wish
Wow DOBRO is sweet xo thank you.
Glad you like them!
Oi Oi Oi ! 🤘
👊👊👊
I've seen them live twice - once in tiny club where sweat was dripping from the celling, and then on a festival - both times they KICKED ASS and were just amazing. I absolutely love the band, especially live - and Elin is the best frontman EVER!!!
She's f*****g AWESOME 👊 what's your favorite album of theirs?
Very cool & insightful talk! Not just one of the best bands I found in 2024 so far but one of the greatest symphonic power bands I've ever heard. I fell hard for Until Dawn last month & the new album soars beyond expectations, could never say enough good things about Elvellon, thank you for including them on your channel in your ongoing series of thoughtfully intelligent metal interviews!
Thanks for sharing that feedback! What other bands would you hope to see here?
@@BelgianJasper ShadowStrike, Seven Kingdoms (2024 update!), Queen Of Dreams, Lords Of The Trident, Jason Ashcraft/Helion Prime/Of Romulus, Eregion, Temperance, Visions Of Atlantis, Serenity, Warkings, Brothers Of Metal, Veonity, Victorius, Final Strike, Twilight Force, Kristin Starkey, Patty Gurdy, Alestorm, Gloryhammer, Warrior Path, Great Master, Dialith, Bronze, Blazon Stone, Riot, ASKA, Freedom Call, Eons Enthroned, Hartlight, Dark Side Of The Moon, Feuerschwanz, Leaves' Eyes, Frozen Crown, Nocturna, Volturian, Castle Rat, Legendry, Savage Oath, Steel Arctus, Lady Beast, Sanhedrin, Tower, Smoulder, Graveshadow, Furies, Blood Star, Offended, Fatal Fire, Triosphere, Jenner, Claymorean, Dragonland, Evermore, Power Paladin, A Sound Of Thunder - thank you for asking! 🤘🤘🍻😊
@@RebelScum312 haha I better get to work :) well, several in the list have already been on the channel and several will appear (again) stay tuned!
@@BelgianJasper 🤘🤘
Craig is really a legendary singer ❤❤ every albums is such incredible
What's your favorite song on the last album?
The man had time to respond to my dorky fan boy emails years ago. A fan for life🇨🇦🤘 Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing that! What's your favorite song on the new album?
@@BelgianJasper pretty world, pretty dies! I have a RC driving playlist this one made it. Typos😁
How did you manage that? I wanna send Sakis a fan letter!
@x.rickenbacker9393 that's also one of my favorites
@@MetalPhantomX In 2014 there was going to be a show here that never materialized. I think just contacted their message board but got a couple of direct responses. I still have them sent Thursday April 24 2014. ✌️
RJD would have been proud. 😎👍
I want Sakis to know that his music brings me to happy tears! I cant express how much I adore this band!
👊👊👊
@@BelgianJasper right on!
just recently discovered this band - love them and what a voice!
Congratulations on finding a new awesome band! Did you have a chance to catch them on tour?
@@BelgianJasper no but on the wishlist
I am obsessed with everything he has ever put out or has been featured on! Everything from his solo work to rotting christ as well as his feature on insomnium's song "White Christ" and many more that I have probably missed
That White Christ song (and the entire effing Insomnium album) is sooo good 🤘 when did you discover Sakis btw?
@BelgianJasper I first found him on White Christ tbh. Wbu? And yes, I agree that the whole Insomnium album is amazing
@@MetalPhantomX I was lucky enough to be introduced to Rotting Christ back in the 90s 🤘😉
@@BelgianJasper introduced how?
@@MetalPhantomX oh just recommend by older metalheads at the time, was really getting into extreme Metal in the late 90s, I don't remember the exact song or moment tho 🤷♂️
Not only is Sakis a friken amazing human, but the art he puts out is phenomenal! Everything he touches turns to gold. I am with him and Rotting christ for the long run
Thanks for sharing that! What's your favorite song on the new album?
@@BelgianJasper such a hard choicr... but if I had to pick... La Lettera Del Diavolo. What about you?
But honestly, I can't pick. Front to back, the whole album is amazing
@@MetalPhantomX Like Father Like Son definitely speaks to me 🤔
@@BelgianJasper in what way?
What a great interview. I actually deliberately avoid any posts about a show before I go, because being surprised by aspects of it is part of the delight for me - I just want to bask in the live experience if I'm privileged enough to be there. I do think we sometimes live in a too accessible time and people want to film and post everything online, so I get what Arjen's saying.
Thanks for sharing that comment! Is there one show you've been to that really stands out for you?
I love both bands, maiden more, but I think Maiden fans are reaching with this one
as far as the last resort rip-off it’s much much closer to an old christian metal band called tourniquet in a song called arc of suffering, listen to the time stamp at 3:12. it’s ripped off in its entirety not just a guitar riff
You are so correct!
@@BelgianJasper yeah it’s not just the riff it’s the whole band!!
Nice, he said 'shows next year' :) (at 27:10)
He sure did! What album do you hope he'll focus on?
@@BelgianJasper Universal Migrator part 1 & 2 are my favs!
@@galberts they're definitely up there for me, especially Part 2!
The lore behind High on FIre and Mike's quotes is just as good (and funny) as the damn music. Long live HoF.

👊👊👊
No Betty talk?
Thx! Another great Denver band to check out
💯
I have a strong feeling that Metallica's Black Album cover might have been AI generated. Speaking of Black Albums, maybe Spinal Tap can make a video of them using AI to create an album cover which will give them their own older album covers :)
her dominion has a very special ending
so much fun great live show love VoA
Glen, My Man! Say Hi to Bob Larson For Me.
Great interview I'm a big fan of this band
Glad you like it! What do you think of the new album?
@@BelgianJasper it's not as brutal as the early records but still kicks ass.
.. She's the One. The Goddess.
🤘🤘🤘
🐕
Therion is up there in the symphonic metal pantheon for me also
Thank you for the video 👌absolutely love Zora, such a Beauty with a Beautiful voice, Love Blackbriar, Love the energy. Looking forward to more awesome videos❤
Thanks for sharing that! Do you have a favorite Blackbriar album?
nothing about the outright blasphemy and hatred for Jesus and the bible? I will be praying for you Glenn, because brother I've seen some shit, and I don't think you know what path you're going down. Be blessed and happy travels friend. Was a long-time listener but since, this world went haywire I thankfully gave it all up. -sincerely a repentant sinner
Nightwish is THE reference of sympho metal. Floor is the queen, of course we'll never forget Tarja, but Floor has this warmth, this connection to the crowd, that Tarja hadn't. The duet Tuomas - Floor works wonderfully !
That would be depressing
My interest in Symphonic had been slipping greatly, until Elvellon's new album.. and as good as the releases in Metal have been this month and that EP by Trail of Tears today!!! I can't get that Nightwish video out of my head, song is very good too.
Elvellon is definitely a breath of fresh air 👊 what is your favorite song on that album?
@@BelgianJasper My Forever Endeavor
The title is a bit ironic as floor couched zoe Federoff from catalyst crime
Thank you for this interview. I loved it!
Glad you liked it! How do you like the new Live album? Lots of content with Arjen on the channel btw 👊😉
