Torna definitely shows how rough Pyra/Mythra had it, and how important Rex was. He might come off as a stupid, happy-go-lucky kid, but him reaching out to them when they needed it was so valuable. Sometimes a dumb kid with a heart of gold can make a difference.
After just finishing Torna, this scene shows a bit of the arrogant Mythra we can see in Torna but Rex is not Adam, he was able to calm down Mythra throughout the main game and get her trust. I've replaying the main game and my opinion about many characters has changed dramatically.
@@juanjosedelpinorivas7099 they are similar but Rex has something Addam doesn’t have which is love. Addam was not able to take on their fears and burden but Rex is able to since it’s the girl he loved.
This scene was given so much heart-wretching context in the DLC. Poor Mythra, I guess it's no surprise she'd be upset at his incompetence as a driver and refusal to listen to reason when he's clearly outmatched without her help.
I mean, Rex fighting one of the Aegises and a broken Blade like Obrona? There was no other thing they could've had done except fight. Pyra's power wasn't enough to stop Malos and Jin.
@@phantom9831 But If you do want to know and dont mind the spoilers: In Torna you play with Mythra, Adam, Lora, Haze and Jin (Yes THAT Jin) at the time of the first time Malos went totally beserk 500 years before the events of XC2. Because certain events during that DLC Mythra gets more and more angry. So much that at the final battle with Malos in that DLC she totally loses her self control and she herself destroys the Torna Titan and most survivors on it. After the battle she saw the huge amount of death and destruction she caused (including some members of her own party) she "made" Pyra to seal her true power. And tells Adam to seal her body away in the ancient vessel with the intention to be never found again. So that her true power of destruction can never be used again.
@@phantom9831 I HIGHLY recommend you play Torna. There are a lot of things I haven't told and the entire DLC gives so much more meaning to events in the main game. For instance why Jin turned evil. And why he killed Fan La Norne (Haze) while saying "You're a slave no more" Right before the final battle Haze tells she could never see herself as Amalthus blade (whats exactly what she becomes) .. So the "murder" of Haze by Jin turns out to be an actual mercy killing. And so much more. Torna is an awesome DLC and essential must play if you love XC2

@@vincenzo_barra I watched all the cs since I didn’t wanna buy the game. So... no it doesn’t the English VA are atrocious. The Japanese VA put more emotions and feelings to what they are saying.
@@aceofaces1506 what? No it’s not. When you only listen to it. Everyone sounds forced. In moments where a character is showing genuine emotions ENG falls flat while JP Gives genuine feeling.
I wonder how few voice acted games you've seen then. Because compared to the stuff I've heard, this is average. Trials of Mana comes to mind when thinking about bad voice acting. Kingdom Hearts, too.
