The only thing I suggest is to buy yourself a jawhorse. Being able to hold your piece securely isn't just for safely, but you'll have a lot more control. When dealing with these kinds of tools you need both hands on the powerful spinning cutting grinders that could end in missing digits if you're not in the peak of control
In s bowl that large, instead of the axe, use a small diameter circular saw or like some here suggested, use a Graff Speed Cutter(somewhat tricky though).
Friendly tip. Let that chainsaw warm up for a little bit before you throttle up. I learned the hard way on how fast it damages a saw motor. Saw will last longer and preform better. Love your work, Cheers.
you should try with the graff speedcutter, then you didnt need to start out with the axe before going to the power grinder, its faster and easier with the graff, trust me
Ficou muito linda sua fruteira. Parabéns. Você poderia me dizer o nome desta ferramenta de bola que você usou na Esmerilhadeira? Pra eu tentar comprar. Gratidão
Beautiful work that ball gouge looks so fun!! Thanks for sharing

Use the front tip of the arbortech turboplane to make contact, safer reactions.
Screw in wedges on the both sides of the block(bowl blank), it will keep it from rocking so much.

The bowl is beatiful

Looks incredible, awesome work! When you finish it with oil, can you still smell the cedar?
It fades over time
