आजकल आते नहीं हैं सपने मुझे ,
शायद उन्हें भी टूट जाने का डर सताता होगा ।
और ये सोच कर हमें नींद ही कहाँ आती है ,
कि वो हमारी बेवफाई के किस्से हर किसी को सुनाता होगा ।
पर बेशक़ बेवफा न वो था और न ही हम,
पर हालातों ने शायद हमें इक साझा बेवफा ऐलान कर दिया था ।
इक तरफ हमारी नज़रों में वो रक़ीब था ,
तो दूजी तरफ उसकी नज़रों में हमने भी रक़ीब वाला काम कर दिया था ।
वो कहता था कि टूटते तारे को देखकर माँगी हर दुआ पूरी होती है ,
शायद उसे पहले ही मालूम था कि टूटी हुई चीजें अक्सर अधूरी होती हैं ।
तभी तो उसने हंसी ख्वाब दिखा ग़मों की परछाई हमारे नाम कर दी थी ,
और जो हुआ करते थे कभी हमारी रातों की सुबह
उन्होंने ही हमारी जिंदगी में कभी न ढलने वाली शाम कर दी थी ।
खैर ये बता जिस कदर तू मुझसे प्यार जताता था ,
क्या वैसे ही वो भी तुझे जताता होगा ।
मैं तो इतना जानता हूँ कि मैंने सपने सजाये थे तेरे लिए और तूने उसके लिए ,
पर क्या वो भी किसी और के लिए सपने सजाता होगा ।
और ये सोच कर हमें नींद ही कहाँ आती है ,
