Ive been with Etsy since July, I have over 800 products and 2 sales (1 fr friend) not sure why things are not selling although I dont know how to make mock ups (yet) and just use what is available on POD site. Would you help? 🙏 🙏 TIA
Hey, as a Canadian I need to ask you about the Amazon Seller account you opened for integrating with Printify. Did you open an account on the US Amazon for USD $39.99 per month? or was it on Canada side for CAD $29.99 per month? And then activate the Unified North America setting in your Canadian seller account? I have an old Canadian seller central account that lets me sell across Canada, USA, and Mexico. Haven't touched it since 2017. I'm confused because that account was opened under a corp name I had at the time that I since closed. I'm not sure if I should close that one and start a new one as a sole proprietor. I know you can't help me with that, but if you could describe exactly how you activated your seller account to get printify integrated... I'm wondering if it would integrate with a Canadian seller central that is set to sell in US market. I hope you can answer my comment because every otther TH-camr I follow for POD is American. Thanks for any bits you can share😊
I’m starting my 1st Etsy store this month (Sept 2024) 🎉 I feel overwhelmed but excited to start. Keep liking this comment plz🙏🏻 so I can come back and update everyone on my honest progress. (Products, Sales, challenges etc.)
You’re like my daily motivational Etsy coach and your beliefs/ approach to Etsy are most in alignment with mine. You’re changing lives over here Christina. We appreciate you.✨ I’m not super clear on how to approach research and still create items that I enjoy creating. So looking forward to taking your class as soon as I can.
Thank you so much for these gems!✨ Can you add your photopea video to the description for this video? Been scrolling through your channel over the past few days trying to find it again. And I can't seem to find it. I remember you doing a video for photopea awhile back giving editing & mockup tips…
I find myself conflicted sometimes because i see SO MANY bestsellers with the “low price” thats not truly that low. It makes me feel many people care more for cheap rather than higher quality :x However, like you, I’d rather be transparent and straightforward about my pricing
I prefer tranasprent pricing too! I personally wouldnt want to even buy a $6 shirt if it was a gift for someone and that would actually deter me and make me question the quality
I think I wave too many products! I need to narrow down what items I offer and expand my niches on those…so much to learn still! Thank you, I’m learning a lot from you ❤
I lowered my prices to a more normal price and stopped offering free shipping. That way I’m not having to charge a higher price just to offer the free shipping. I think the difference between Etsy and Amazon is on Etsy people do not expect free shipping. Automatically once I did turn off free shipping. I actually started getting more sales.
Same! I turned off free shipping also this year- though its still a reasonable price so no one is shocked when it comes to shipping. Ive noticed while a year or two ago every store did free shipping, that is no longer the case. Though Etsy has said if its over $6 they will rank you lower starting October
Hi Cristina :) thank you for all the tips, they’re really helpful. Quick question, do you have your store in USD or CAD? I’m not sure what’s better-whether to set USD as the store currency since most buyers are from the US, or to use the local currency of your country (CAD, Euro, GBP…) to avoid the 2.5% currency conversion fee. My question is whether Etsy favors stores with USD currency over others in terms of ranking. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and knowledge on this. :)
What do you think is a good profit margin (%) before and after a sale? A lot of times I like to run a 25% off sale (sometimes lower). Would love to hear what you think
I could see this working for a shop with a more cozy vibe, especially with the upcoming Q4 and holiday season. Just make sure you plan and calculate your prices, as a candle and a sweatshirt ordered together would likely come from different print providers, so the shipping could cost more.
Hi Christina, I have a quick question..If I am opening a brand new POD apparel store on Etsy this month, should i focus on only 1 niche and 1 product type (t-shirts) OR Should I focus on multiple niche (10+) and multiple product types within the same category (like sweatshirts, hoodies, tank tops, t-shirts, hats)?
I recommend focusing on 1-2 products. This way, you can perfect your mockups, description, pricing and SEO, while also exploring multiple niches to learn which ones work best for you.
@@c.u.online thanks Christina! May I know what profit (dollar amount) should I target if I am selling t-shirts and sweatshirts on Etsy? Sinxe winter is approaching, I am thinking sweatshirts would do really well as well as hoodies but as you suggested it’s best to start with 1-2 products, I am thinking it would be best to start with t-shirts and sweatshirts. I would appreciate your response, thanks!
I know this would be a hard one, but I do love Photopea and I was curious how you adjust your design to blend with the wrinkles on shirt. Thought that was very interesting. I do the eraser thing on Canva but sometimes it just messes with the color and you can tell something is off. Lately, I focus on mockups that have minimal if no wrinkles on the shirts/sweatshirts. But I think it would be pretty cool to figure out how to blend a design with a wrinkled shirt too. So just a question if you know a link or place to check out how to do it? Thanks :)
I also love photopea! I have a tutorial on how I use it to make mockups. You can check my "How to create REALISTIC tshirt mockups for Print on Demand" video :)
@@c.u.online Just checked it out and thanks! Probably ideal for certain options or possible strong sellers, but as you mentioned, it does look time involved. Although with the right mockup and sweatshirt, I think it's well worth the effort. And over time, we all become faster at figuring this stuff out. I appreciate you sharing that. Love the clips in general or videos I guess :) Thanks as always!
Hi Christina, if you don’t mind sharing May I know how much of that is profit? Realistically what is the net profit margin we can expect in POD, specifically apparel?
Thats wild! They may have recently started and had a previous store that was shut down- I've seen that happen where stores will get shut down (usually for copyright reasons) and just keep reopening new stores with the same listings until they get shut down again lol
Thank you all for watching and I hope this video helped you in your print on demand journey so far!

I have about 25-30% profit depending on the product :)
I ve seen one store on etsy with over 25.000 listings. But they didnt have that many sells

I started to categorize my shop by different dog breeds, but I don't think that was working so I went back to type of product categories.
Pho-toe-pee or pho-toe-pee-ah?
i never know and now I just flip flop between them LOL but both are fun to say lol
Damn! I was hoping you knew! 😂
