That guitar solo is Kanami Tsunami perfection!!! She is a guitar Goddess!!! Entire band is phenomenal and getting better and better every year!!!Thanks for your nice reaction!
"Kanami Tsunami" hahahaha. Such a good line! And she is! She's SUCH a guitar beast!!! The best part of my year so far was discovering this band. When they tour in the states I gotta go!
I understand that for many Tsunami means something fiercely powerful, but Kanami herself visualizes the word as meaning the widespread tidal wave death and destruction brought to the people of her Japanese homeland and she doesn't want it to be associated with her in any way as it is too emotionally painful. I'm sure that you and her many fans can see her point of view and will graciously respect her wishes not to use Tsunami in reference to her. Thanks.
@@uffdad8211 Ah, makes sense and understandable. (I just first learned about them a couple days ago and have been a bit obsessed with them ever since,) but I absolutely understand why she'd feel that way, for sure.
The lyrics literally is about the story of the anime, that's why you see words like pencil, pages, pan up pan down, frame in frame out and re: re: edit etc. From wiki: The series centers on Natsuko Hirose, a prodigy animator, who quickly rose to become a director. Her debut TV series became a social phenomenon, making her famous in the process. Following up with her new original work, she finds herself struggling with the project's storyboard. During a lunch break, she reads the news that another animator had recently died of food poisoning, only for her to suffer from a similar fate moments later. However, Natsuko finds herself waking up in the world of A Tale of Perishing, her childhood anime series that led her to becoming an animator. Disillusioned with experiencing the sheer hopelessness of the anime's storyline in person, she later discovers that she has the power to re-animate scenes in order to alter the storyline to survive the cruelness of being in her childhood anime's world.
"Zenshu" is a TV Anime that premiered on Jan 5th of this year. Here on TH-cam there are three "trailer" videos, the storyline looks very interesting and Band-Maid is doing the "Opening" theme, quite the honor in Japanese Anime......a first I believe, where their other Anime themes were closing. This is one of their best songs to date! I found this- "The series is an isekai story that follows Natsuko Hirose, a talented animator who becomes a director after graduating high school. Her first anime becomes a massive hit, but she struggles with the storyboard for her next project, a romantic comedy themed around first love. The series explores themes of burnout, passion, and renewal in the animation industry. Zenshu’s title, which means “fix them all,” refers to the main character’s journey of redoing and remastering her work."
Dont get me wrong,i love all of BM self composed songs, but this is like taking it up another notch literally,,many people have said, and i agree,i fear that eventually they will hit the ceiling with ideas and creativity, but omg they just outdo themselves everytime, great reaction Zack.
"2/3s of the way in, time for a solo" Kanami steps in with an extended solo 😁 The title Zen is for Zenshuu, meaning "do it all over"(slang/jargon from anime/manga studios)
Thank you for another excellent reaction..! Your analysis is spot on.. I've found that with all the Band Maid commissioned projects like this one, while their MVs are awesome as usual, watching the finished product gives me the complete picture of what their final objective was. th-cam.com/video/oygsxvHtU74/w-d-xo.html
Every new Band-Maid song rings out with new and innovative riff and chord structures, beat patterns and fills, vocal runs, backups, melodies and lyrics. The Maids continue to pack so much into their songs without them feeling cluttered, repetitive or overplayed. Their composition and execution is always refreshing and amazing to witness and hear. Once again, the supreme Maids -- Kanami, Saiki, Miku, Akane and MISA -- push their contributions to exciting, new levels of writing, playing and performance! We are so lucky to be living in the age of Band-Maid!🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Zack!
"Zen" just set the record for fastest to 1 million views for a Band-Maid video, 15 days.
Thanks ATL🎉

@CarnageTheory I'm not sure, they may come in the states in the second half of this year. If not they hopefuly will come next year.

Band-Maid has really, really, really maidit with this song.
Yes, this does not mean Zen as in Zen Buddhism, but zenbu shuusei (correct everything).
