A huge Ratt fan from way back - this video took an interesting turn for me right in the middle when Stephens fiance came on. I thought she looked familiar but after listening to her talk for a few seconds I realized her voice sounded just like my old friend Kristi.....who I haven't seen in about 16 years! Then the Octopus radio station logo came on screen and then I knew it was her. How crazy is it to be watching a video about a band you're a fan of and right in the middle see an old friend who you haven't seen in so many years! Eddie Trunk is right, Ratt is one of the corner stones of 80's hard rock/metal. When I think of 80's rock right off the bat I think of the crue, quiet riot, ratt, bon jovi, twisted sister, night ranger , def leppard and van halen.

I remember when Eddie use to work for WDHA back in the day. Every Friday night a DJ named Sheryl would host a metal show. Me and a few band members use to go to the radio station during the metal show and knock on the studio door hoping to give Sheryl our demo tape. Long story short… our persistence paid off! She played one of our tunes on the show! Which was a big deal for a bunch of kids in an unknown band. I’ll never forget that!

I had a memorable encounter with him and the band on their first tour. It was just me and them and given the fact that they were so young and new to the scene at the time, I always wondered if they remembered the encounter. Will probably never know but if I ever encountered any of them again, I would ask them about it.
awesome stuff, as i am a big RATT fan since 84, this film is so well done that you dont even have to be a ratt fan to enjoy it, it's just a great story on it's own whether you like the music or not from that era, once you start watching it anyone can enjoy and appreciate it..
I did always liked Ratt. They were a perfect fit in the hard/rock metal music of that time. They burst on the scene and wrote some classic hard rock/metal songs that'll live on forever. The first song i heard was Round and Round and that was it it I instantly liked them. Watching this documentary it's cool to get to know Stephen a little bit and how the history of how the band started. Stephen is definitly a California dude all the way. Classic! 🤘 🌴

RATT N’ ROLL for life…..they were my top Glam/Hair Band along with Crue and Dokken they were my big three….51 now, I still slap on RATT the neighbors in the country club community here in SWFL look at you the same way the adults did in the 80’s …like WTF ..but now I own a business and live in the same spot so they just have to deal…tennis anyone….lol
Metallica and Ratt were my first Heavy Metal Band listening experience... Well Ozzy was first but I was a 12 year old kid so It was huge for me... I hope this comes out on a tangible disc with books and shit to read and pics to look at...
Great memories of seeing Arcade on tour. Played at The Rocker, a small club inside a bowling alley in Grand Rapids, MI. Hung out for the sound check, then bowled with Fred, Michael Andrews, and one of the other guys afterwards. it was a shit load of fun, dampered only by Stephen hanging in the bus the whole time until it was time to hit the stage. Once the show was done he was the only no show outside the bus afterwards to sign stuff. Too bad for me and the fans, I guess. I still have that Arcade tour shirt, with "what the fuck are you looking at" on the back. Good times. 🤘😛🤘
Ratt was my first concert. Bon Jovi opened. 1984 14 years old. Still have the tee shirt and dog tags. Enjoy all of their albums but invasion is my favorite.
As many have commented, his voice is incredibly unique & instantly recognizable... impossible to imitate. He is a TRUE hard rocker no matter what the dress/ hairstyles were... the music from that era was and still is, incredible. GREAT SONGS WRITTEN FROM BEGINNING TO END & PERFORMED BY REAL MUSICIANS REAL SINGERS REAL INSTRUMENTS NO PUNK ASS AUTO ANYTHING! Pearcy &Co LIVED IT as did all the other great hard rock/ metal bands. Today's music & the industry needs a big ENEMA! Keep playing it, keep blasting it... keep keep writing playing & recording this stuff... inspire the younger kids to pick up a real instrument! Today's crap FAKE ASS computer GARBAGE music inspires absolutely NOTHING BUT MORE ABSOLUTE CRAP. All these great bands started when they were ....ALL KIDS! THAT'S what who need to inspire. Love RATT. ... their music was part of our warmup sessions. I learned alot of guitar from them, I can sing, but nobody signs like Pearcy; or really, any of the other true hard / metal bands!
