Interesting & varied story. It must take a lot, financially & emotionally, to stick with such a competitive sport thru thick & thin. Are there any disadvantages to not being part of a ski race academy, in terms of on hill coaching & particularly off hill things like sports psychology & logistics?
Thanks! Yes there are pros and cons. There’s less coaches is you might have to help set the course and wait a bit longer and you normally organise more travel and races. I guess it just depends on what you want and how much control you want over your training
