Great transformation, I think that you should reduce that large jin, just by opinion. Have a very similar procumbens in a large grow box for past 5 years and will be looking to start styling this year. Thanks for the inspiration! And I have to add that that’s an extremely healthy looking plant. Well done!
Not sure about that first Jin. Could try shortening first, and maybe thinning it. I am wondering with this new design. does the tree really need it. Love the transformation,
IMO the jin has got to go :) the dead wood you created looks beautiful but for me I don't feel the scale suits the rest of the tree. Sorry :( Awesome tree & video!!!
Quite sure it’s a procumbens. Bark and foliage look a match. Procumbens foliage turns to scale type when they mature. The scale foliage is juvenile growth.
I found the music to be an added kick to my morning viewing haha I could understand if you were trying to unwind at night but thumbs up from Tenterfield!
Wonderfully redesigned. Thank you for sharing.

Yep I agree Mary but I will wait until the tree develops more before deciding.
Could you please tell me the name of that string used for tying down trees?
I actually picked it up in Japan. It’s a plastic strap that’s reinforced with fiberglass. I’m sorry but I don’t know the name of it though.
@BonsaiMatsu thanks anyways.

Thanks and I agree. Something has to change.
What variety of juniper is this tree?
I believe it’s a Juniperus chinensis ‘San Jose’ San Jose Juniper as it has both needle and scale foliage.

*edit* slipped up there, the needle foliage is juvenile!
This could be greatly improved by making your voice louder and the monotonous background "music" much lower.
Thanks for the feedback.

No problem on my end. I thought it was great. Guess you can’t please everyone.
