At some point, you feel kind of bad for these people. Like an MMA fighter getting challenged by a kindergarten class. It’s not their fault that they’re the way they are, but it becomes difficult to treat them seriously.

Ow, you will enjoy the Invasion arc. Therw they are, the Demon Lord Faction, the Limia Faction, and the Gritonia Faction, fighting each other in a 3 way deathmatch, meanwhile theres the Kuzunoha Company, a neutral party being more powerful than the 3 factions Combined. XD

And think about the fact he is fucking sealed but the 10 rings, which he needs to change basically on a daily basis, and that when in season 1 he removed only one of those rings, he basically nuked the place, and the only reason it ended up as a lake, is that a lot of his subordinates were able to make barriers on top of barriers and stop that explosion

They are all to inexperienced and only cared about looks so of course they are nothing compared to Makoto and his group. Even the adventurers in Tsige make the students look like a joke.
that's not a fair comparisson, Tsige is a frontier city with high level monsters and warriors. maybe its something that will be said later, but that city is far above most others in fighting power.

I was really scratching my head with these scenes
I dont get it, why were they levitating? Like i get its useful on day to day, and in combat you cast it at an enemy and they lose balance, or at an ally to give them the high ground, but at yourself? With no follow up? Ita like saying you have a granade but never pulling the pin

To be fair, to a normal person, that may seem a bit intimidating, but to someone whose level can get on par with a literal god then it’s mere child’s play

I really liked the first season the story telling and animation was nice, but for the second season.
Sigh, I was disappointed, the story telling was all over the place and the animation was wrong. I am talking about animation quality, but the scenes which should be animated, but were not. To understand what I am talking about read the *spoiler*
In the scene where the academy's bully got transformed into a magic monster, all the students of MC went to fight him, in a scene where the MC and king were talking we can see the background in which the monster and the students were. They were just still not even a single movement they were like frozen in time, for me this is animation mistake. I am not complaining just disappointed because the first season didn't had these mistakes according to me. The storytelling didn't digested there was a rampage of magic monsters, but no civilian was seen when the MC went to the scene, if they are killed there should be some d*ad bodies. Of they were evacuated early as a result no one was killed then why only the brothel people were scene. I mean come on, does this make sense. I am not trying the make the show look bad just that the animation mistakes and storytelling didn't fit with me compared to season 1. I will recommend reading the manga or web novel if possible

They did a pretty good job with the poison scene. The voice actor for the assassin is perfect in his incredulous reaction that he didn't get poisoned.
Oh he got poisoned, it just didn't poison him. His body was just like "No."
What's really crazy is how much the anime and manga downplay some of this stuff, especially when his archery is involved. In the anime, his shooting sometimes feels like "Oh yeah, he's actually an archer, not a mage." But in the LN, whenever he pulls out his bow, he's almost described the same way a god would be.

@@rossman8919 Idk about better, they're certainly similar, but they both have different merits so it's really a matter of preference, though this is assuming we're talking about the same one, since I know of about three that meet that description: Reincarnated as a Slime (which, is what I'm guessing,) By The Grace of the Gods (not too similar to either, but still a great wholesome past time) and My Isekai Life (which is fairly mediocre overall, not bad, but also not great, just fine at best.)

Wow a fun and refreshing series! Has there ever been another anime about a guy being so overpowered he is unstoppable?!? AMAZING!
If you want to skip Tsukimichi, Overlord, Slime, and Reincarnated as a Sword due to that trope it’s your loss. This is a solid series, and if it bothers you that much there’s plenty of focus on other characters and their struggles.
Makoto’s strength is actually a hindrance in cases. Also it’s not quite a harem anime (another often disliked trope). He’s only got 2 women, which is mild for anime standards.
