Unlike those unbrained glitchers, this video is a masterpiece. Despite not being super super perfect, because you miss a couple of jumps here and there, it is just stunning to watch. My personal record is ~ 6 hours (with all secrets and stuff) and this speedrun just brought me lovely memories from my years as a teen. I gotta refer a few highlights from this run, or at least those who I enjoyed the most: 0:36 11:00 18:24 57:45 1:09:50 And many others.
Why would it count? That's just jumping on the side and not through anything. If thats a glitch then most part of the game is glitch and invalid. And you could say, not spawning literally every enemy in the game is glitch.
@@FootiIt's just that the developers designed that area with the intend the player would trigger a cutscene, not do a glitchy walljump to bypass it. Idk, glitchless is a vague term when it comes to these things lol
it's a platform which hasnt' been textured so it's not a glitch. there's similar platform in TR1 and it's intended. about the fence it's not a glitch due how it's built in and it doesn't act as an solid object. it's similar to TR3 grass for example. Glitchless is very arbitrary so the community makes the rules, basically the category has a lot of tricks which are in grey area but we try to keep the rules consistent :D Also more up to date run th-cam.com/video/sraSKUfi2Ow/w-d-xo.html
Your speedrun shows impressively the main problem with this game. It's so short, you can actually end it in less than 2 hours. It was simply unbelievable what they did back then, releasing such an unfinished game. And Eidos, now Square Enix, did it again with Tomb Raider Underworld.
@@thetanman3130 I've seen this too. But not because it's so short, but because it's so old that you can actually almost fly through the entire game. The point is, Chronicles is so short that it's just an insult to release such a game. It's not like you got something to do inside it. So you've played it for 6 hours at best if you bought it back then and then it was already garbage, a complete waste of money.
@@DerTypausBielefeld I agree that TR V was short and - quite frankly - all over the place. However, I think that your argumentation is flawed, since all classic Tomb Raiders (save for The Last Revelation) are done in under two hours nowadays without exploiting glitches, most of them actually FASTER than TR V. AND: Half-Life is just as old as TR III & only two years older than TR V, so age does not really matter in that case.

Glitched speedrun is also a category in speedrunning and it's harder than glitchless
That's amazing, but preventing the old mill stonethrowers from spawning at 1:03:55 surely counts as a glitch :P

0:36 ooooh my goooood!!!!!! xDD supeeer !!!
Is there a reason to shoot the Lock in the Streets with the Scope Revolver? It is breakable with the duals too?
Great run! What happens at 57:50? It looks like an invisible platform, followed by walking through a fence. Isn't that a glitch?

You can finish Half-Life 1 in less than 21 minutes
