    I just discovered this pedal....been watching videos on it and considering getting one. I rarely like what I hear with the 100's of overhyped pedals, but this is one is closer to the sounds I'm after.

    Thank you! For many years I have been trying to understand the difference between the tone knob and the voice knob on my original Zendrive. Finally it is explained.

    Love it. I really want this pedal. Video just makes me want it more.

    The Voice pot is super effective for pushing the neck pup lead tones through the mix whether HB or Single Coil.

    I have an original Zendrive and this one has more gain than mine. It also doesn't have quite as much low end when engaged. The voice on mine accentuates upper mids and the overall pedal is smoother. Having said that, I like this pedal.

    Sold my Tumnus Dlx to get one of these...should be here in a day or two. My son's ZenDrive is impressive...but $$...so I went with WarmDr.

      How you getting on with the Warm drive? Compared to the Tumnus. Cheers

      @@martynrandall7652 glad you asked. I don't use it much...if I need some 'overdrive'...rarely...I also don't perform...I tap my Timmy. But, it's a keeper...prefer it over the Tumnus, a TubeScreamer, and the Boss OD -? before that.

    Oh yeah. I can definitely use that max gain. I would turn the tone way lower but yeah, sounds ok.

    cool video ...have the pedal and it's awesome ...good drive sounds and very versatile in my opinion 😉

    Seems like it might be based more so on the Red Dot or Gold Zen II.

    • @SteveSterlacci
      @SteveSterlacci  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its directly based on the hermida zen drive

      @@SteveSterlacci The Lovepedal varieties offer different spins on the original and second Zendrive. Some have more drive and volume available, while others do not and are much lower gain.

      @SteveSterlacci  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@austinfailz oh are those other versions of the Zen? I thought you meant totally other pedals that I haven't heard of 😅

    • @austinfailz
      @austinfailz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SteveSterlacci Nope. My understanding is Alf did the original, tube Zen II, and non tube Zen II. He got a bit of flack for falling behind on orders, etc, so he eventually had Sean at Lovepedal build them. Sean has done various different versions.

    Quite a bit of fizzy crackle on top of the signal, i struggle quite a bit to get rid of that, myself

    Just bought this pedal a couple of days ago. When i turn the voice-knob all the way up it starts to feed like hell.
    Is that normal? Or do I misunderstand something?

    • @SteveSterlacci
      @SteveSterlacci  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's probably just the frequency being amplified with a lot of gain. Just keep it set where it sounds good 🤷‍♂️

    Bridge tele sound arguably the best but only get a few seconds for some reason. Also, is this clone made in China? That’s what I’ve been hearing. Why is this not stated on any of the new reviews?

    I wish these guys would stop using EQ and compression when demoing a pedal. Just play it raw so we know what it actually sounds like.

    • @SteveSterlacci
      @SteveSterlacci  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can address me directly in my vids. Theyre not doing anything to the sound. Theyre hard wired into my interface so I set them flat instead of having to go cable diving and reroute my whole set up. Either way, it won't have an affect on the pedal in this context

    Like you said, Edge of breakup
    Not a clean tone! Difficult to assess pedals true character
    Otherwise sounds very good, thank you

    • @SteveSterlacci
      @SteveSterlacci  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To most professionals, that is a clean tone. Especially sitting inna track or within a band context. Try it with a backing track too! Its a killer pedal
