  • Kiptopeke State Park on the Eastern Shore of VA. It's a very kept clean Park with alot of Beach. They also have concrete ships they use as barriers. Super cool.......so much to do here. Bike paths....bird watching or just fishing.

Hey John 🙋🏽‍♀️ Looks like a beautiful park! I live in Maryland. This is about a 4 hour drive from my house. Not too bad! I made a note of it to visit sometime soon. Thank you & give Lil Man a squeeze for me😊🥰

We were just at that park last summer, saw those cement ships in real time. Lots of shells on the beach. That bridge is creepy; driving under water isn’t my thing!! Thanks for sharing your sites with us.

I met John at this camp site super nice guy. We were the ones out in those kayaks, those boats were filled with pelicans and the smell was insane. It was a pretty good campground with lots of things to do. The park service had some activities for the kids it’s family oriented for sure.

John, while you there be sure to check out the little museum on the way into Cape Charles city. The have a working model of a steam locomotive at 1/8th scale. The also have some rolling stock out back. Hope it's open . Also they are building another tunnel soon. They used to have a ferry for rail cars to go over to Norfolk. You are only about 100 miles from me in Lewes, DE now.

@@myscamptraveltraileradvent1230 We are looking at some high winds and a cold front coming through this afternoon. My neighbors daughter and husband were at Cheriton campgrounds about 3 years ago when a tornado came in off the bay and toppled a few trailers. Most of the campers that were not damaged stayed to help the owners clean up. Be careful this afternoon.

Those concrete ships are called ferro-cement. Steel reinforced concrete. If the displacement is proper they float just like steel. What is your job there John? Good video.

    1:50 - HEY! "concrete ships....very familiar......
In West Cape May, NJ, at the furthest beach in NJ, between the Del. Bay and the Atlantic ocean, there is a rocky beach......it's called "Sunset Beach".....and in the water is the USS Atlantus, a concrete ship, half submerged. Good fishing there, but don't go out to it...hammerhead sharks.

@@myscamptraveltraileradvent1230 eight, i thought. Fun fact: at Rutgers University, the Civil Eningering students are graded on making a concrete canoe...they put it on the Raritan, and get graded on how well it is "water-worthy" i used to haul off the limewater from the concrete as a "hazmat tech"
Today, i woder. "will someone call the concrete racist? scream "microagression? get a "C" grade for whining? our future infrastructure is DOOMED!

If you get the chance head up to Chrisfiield, MD and take a day cruise over to Tangier Island surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay..something g to see, and the seafood is plentiful.. enjoy the shore..

On the yurt the u sounds like e, not u. Concrete is still used to build ships. It's the displacement above the water line that lets them float. Like a glass bowl.

Overnight camping how much does it cost per night. I think there is a Royal Farms store near you they have great Fried Chicken basic stuff you need there is a Family Dollar or Dollar Tree I believe the grocery store is a Food Lion, all these are a few miles down the road. Not at the campsite
