very blessed that I got to work on this ride opening year despite all the issues the ride had, as a ride op it's one of those rides you just fall in love with the moment you do your first low zone walk. An experience I will never forget, and being the first non-RMC/non-salaried CP employee to ride the day before media day was truly special
hi there! SV ride op here (i have a cameo somewhere in the 13 minute mark (; ) - the whole point of the metal detectors is you have to walk through them with your stuff. technically we're supposed to tell you to hold your items above your head - the metal detector shows us where all the metal is when it flashes red, so in theory, all the metal should be above your head to show us you have nothing else (i.e bag, fannypack, etc). that isn't something that was really enforced as much - ESPECIALLY august, so i can see where the confusion is. the table beside us is just a stool so we have somewhere to put the stamps && where extra stamps are stored lol nonetheless, this was a good video! i understand the feeling of being able to talk about this ride for 30+ minutes lmao
Mesh zipped pockets were added to each seat to prevent phones and other objects from falling out of pockets due to injuries when the ride initially opened.
Your reviews are so in depth. Always great to listen to 👌 I don't think it's any secret that this is my favorite coaster. So glad you enjoyed it and it lives up to the hype for you, especially after your overall experience you had at the park! Also, my little nickname for the finale is the airtime assault! 😄
Finally made it back to Cedar Point after 12 years and I agree with everything you said. This ride was amazing and the smoothest coaster I've ever experienced.
12:19 I know I am quite late to this (so late in fact, that the baggie system was replaced by free 5x10 lockers) But the stamp on the riders' hand warned the checkers that the individual has small belongings, and must be asked to put it in the bag
7:45 I actually almost passed out in line for a ride because I overheated and hadn’t eaten in 3 hours (it was a small bowl of cereal) so yeah they should have shade in more queues there.
Nice review. I am a 65 year old fenatic and I am considering a return trip to Cedar Point just to ride this Bad Boy ! This look fabulous. I have ridden the Beast at Kings Island possibly almost 1K times in my life and I love that coaster, but this looks to top that.
Hello there, rly enjoyed the video! I'm from the UK and I'm saving up to go to Cedar Point next year, do you have any advice? I know it's a while away, but you know it's quarantine, got to look forward to something.
Cedar Point is my home park and my advice to you is do not go during Halloweekend unless you have Fast Lane Plus or do not mind waiting in extremely long lines for almost every rollercoaster.
Book the package through cedarpoint.com with a room at the adjacent Hotel Breakers, Fast Lane Plus, meals, drinks, and onride pics. You'll have all the above included plus early access and the unparalleled proximity to the whole reason you're there in the 1st place. Avoid weekends. It's worth it! Steel Vengeance alone is worth it.
I miss the coaster restraints from the late 1980’s / early 1990’s. Airtime back in those days was unparalleled. You’d literally fly out of your seat at least 8 inches. Literally. Today’s coaster restraints are too big
Second! Maybe! I was gonna make this my one hundredth credit, but to be honest the important thing is riding it. It'll be my first RMC if all goes to plan.
Regarding the metal detectors, they're actually positional. Different vertical levels will light up depending on where the metal actually is on your body. The reason they have you hold your phone over your head is because it is faster than having you put all of your stuff down, but it still clears your chest area, pockets, and lower legs. If you set off the detector on these levels, they will stop you.
@@ParksBros Huh. Perhaps slacking on their training, then, lol. I had to hold my keys and phone up both times I rode. I asked one of the operators what that was all about and that's what he told me. :/
I know I'm late to the party. This is my favorite coaster. I'm pretty sure the metal detectors have a stack of lights on the backside that go off to show where they "see" metal. so when they illuminate above your head, they know its the stuff in your hand.
I’m taking my friend to cedar point in a week or so, and he has only ridden one wooden rollercoaster(ravine flyer 2). He’s never experienced inversions . What should I take him on first to get him used to the more experienced coatsers
Did you ever figure it out? I thought it may have been Toy Story or Cars. It definitely sounds like a Pixar song. I've heard it before. It's killing me.
This was the most intense ride in the park to me (way more than Maverick which was kinda underwhelming). I feel like it's a double diamond on your rating
What time did you ride Maverick? Cause I thought Maverick was underwhelming as well when I rode it in the morning but after I rode it when it was warmed up I thought it definitely lived up to expectations
@@GMFan I've been multiple times and have ridden in every row, warm and cool temps, day and evening. It does not compare to the intensity of SV for me in any row at any point. SV flings you around just as much and for longer
I definitely am one of the outliers with my opinion of SteVe. It’s fine. I think of the top 5 at CP (MilF, Mavy, Maggie, and TTD) I’d probs put it at 5. I’m definitely a fan of quality over quantity so the lack of decent positives, outstanding air or great lats makes me feel kinda meh about it
I rode this 4 times in Sept19, it was a little underwhelming and forgettable to be honest. It's a great ride don't get me wrong, maybe I was expecting too much
(any element on this ride) Drew: THAT WAS BY FAR ONE OF MY FAVORITE ELEMENTS ON THIS COASTER

3:08 did anyone notice that object that came out of the train?
Cell phone I think
Yeah looks like it
Mesh zipped pockets were added to each seat to prevent phones and other objects from falling out of pockets due to injuries when the ride initially opened.
The person I rode with kept his phone in his pocket and his galaxy was bent when he got off
Same thing at 13:15

I took my mom on this, and she loved it! I couldn't get her to try Dragster though. Steel Vengeance is her new # 1.
I feel like SV is a perfect combination of Twisted Colossus and SFGAm Goliath

Like #100: One of the best coaster reviews I've seen and on one of the best coasters!
I was very sad to hear mean streak was being closed... Then we got this beast of a coaster ❤️
Taking my first ride on sv today!!! So hyped and thanks for the video

Now subscribed!! Love your vid thank you
I can't wait to ride this, and also love the channel!
greg charles yeah living in the south sucks for coasters
@@colemouledous4817 Which one east or west?
greg charles I’m in Dallas, but from Louisiana
@@colemouledous4817 OH so you're closest theme park is Over Texas. Have you've been to Fiesta Texas, ZDT or Silver Dollar City in Missouri?
@@colemouledous4817 The only amusement park i can think of in LA is Dixie Landin' in Baton Rouge.
23:15 something flew out of the back row there
lol you’re right
@8:10 the dude in the Queen T shirt looks back thinking "WTF, you filming me?'
Do you know if fast lane people get to choose their row?
I'm too fat to ride any RMC. I had to walk of shame off of Storm Chaser to figure that out.
I really need to lose weight.

Today’s coaster restraints are too big
my favorite coaster in the park and the best one in the park
27:10 this wave turn into the inversion to me is the craziest moment of the ride. The second half of this is crazier than the first half.
So as someone with pretty bad arachnophobia, if I got fastpass and went during a weekday in June, do you think I'd be ok?
Second! Maybe!
I was gonna make this my one hundredth credit, but to be honest the important thing is riding it. It'll be my first RMC if all goes to plan.
I want to get on this ride it look so fun to get on
13:14 RIP phone 😂😂
Are you going to the members only West Coast racers opening
I'm 6' 4" and the shin restraints were comfortable for me.
I can say that the airtime record is totally accurate. The times I've Ridden the coaster i spend 90% in the air
awesome video of an awesome ride
When I went earlier this summer I was able to ride it 6 times and got to choose my row each time I just had to ask

That makes sense! Only problem was they didn’t have us hold our stuff over our heads and let us through with our hands near our waists.
@@ParksBros Huh. Perhaps slacking on their training, then, lol. I had to hold my keys and phone up both times I rode. I asked one of the operators what that was all about and that's what he told me. :/
They didn't have the pouches there this weekend. Lockers were free and everything was to be put in them

22:50 SOMEONES WALLET FELL
me who has arachnophobia and wants to go to cedar point: welp, guess im gonna go through hell
17 big spiders... oh frick
It seems like the queue situation is scarier than the actual coaster lol🤣
Don't forget the siders lots and lots of siders
I cannot wait until cedar point open back up so I can ride steel vengeance and All of my favorite coaster 🎢 of All time.😍
Steel Vengeance is a coaster with an awesome looking drop that isn't awesome. The rest of the ride is great, though.
13:16 as soon as you mention loose articles a wallet flies off the train lmfao
This is my favourite coaster, but its missing a sideways outward banked turn like wildfires element after the stall
The first time I got off of that ride I was like “WHAT JUST HAPPENED”
13:15 in that clip you can see someones phone fall out
You should do a rougarou review
Where the notification squad at? #notificationson
I like how you called it the Sinister Six just like Spider-man's vilains hahaha
The first time I rode this me and my friends were lucky enough to get row 1 and 2
I thought the drop gave the most powerful airtime on the ride
iv'e never been on steel vengeance cause i live in england and tickets are too expensive wich is really sad
Same because im in wales
30:40 I’ve seen u have watched Kenny’s news cast on SV. 😂. Everytime on the second half I scream candy bar as well just as an inside joke lol.
Drew got yeeted because of the airtime
What's the background music?
Did you ever figure it out? I thought it may have been Toy Story or Cars. It definitely sounds like a Pixar song.
I've heard it before. It's killing me.
I'm still trying to figure it out. 😂😂😂
The spiders were a lot more scary then the ride.
RIP the phone at 13:15
3:08 i think someone lost there phone 😭
Lol, someone lost their phone at 22:50.

Honestly I prefer Lightning Rod, but that’s just me
I’ve ridden L-Rod. I think it’s a bit overrated, but it’s still awesome. I just can’t see how that’s better than this though.
Now that we are wearing masks, I don’t got to worry about accidentally swallowing bugs!
