Scripture says, Clap your hands, all you people shout to God with the voice of triumph. I don’t see anything wrong with clapping during and after the song. The clapping was threefold:
1) It’s a way to praise the Lord as the scripture says. Praise the Lord that there is a Crimson stream of blood that flows from Calvary.
2) There is appreciation for how well the lyrics were crafted. Preachers get 30 to 45 minutes to expound upon an idea and deliver the word of God from the pulpit. Songwriters get 3 to 4 minutes tops, and they have to find a way to make it rhyme as well. Writing a well crafted lyric is far more challenging than writing a sermon.
3) These people are artists, and they have an appreciation for the art form. The harmonies were so tight, and the tones were so clear, that it is worth applauding the individuals who sang as well.
So I clap my hands in praise to the Lord for the crimson stream, I clap my hands for the amazing lyric, and I clap my hands in applause to the Jim Brady Trio for a heartfelt and worshipful rendition of a classic hymn. And there’s not a thing wrong with that at all…

Who is Layke and why are people saying he's the next David Phelps?I read those comments before actually listen to the song...then I listened to it and I was disappointed...not because it's a bad song,it's a nice song and beautifully sung but I couldn't find anything or anyone remotely like David Phelps,and honestly I was hoping to find or listen to a guy at least close to David's level
