One should never take chances with a wild elephant. Be kind as the kind villagers have shown. But keep distance.
In the end of the video the same man who fed the elephant, ventured near and was pushed. Hopefully it was not serious, it seems. The video ended abruptly. But on the whole this was an excellent video.

Initially this elephant was hiding in small jungle nearby people home, he was in great fear that people might beat him, when i heard this I rushed there immediately in the early morning n i tried to capture video everybody was asking me not to go near him, it's dangerous, I dare to go a bit near before a villager shout a fake name saying as Aa maalti aa, n this elephant comes out, n seeing this everyday run away including me too but he was v docile.

The people of the village calmly handled the situation. This video needs to be circulated more so people see how they handled the elephant. But I have a feeling this elephant is used to getting such treatment...see how calm it was. It knew food would be given to it.
