Joe thanks for this video. You’re such an important spokesperson for our ecological health. We need more successful TH-cam channels focusing in beautiful natives.

Thank you for this. I will be doing a lot more on this theme. It’s what we all need to be doing more of now and offering tangible, doable steps will/should make it easier. 👍

I loved these tips so much. Using mulch, improving soil help, planting natives, etc!!
While I do have some battery operated tools, I don’t believe they are environmentally friendly, but they sure are convenient. The mining for the “ingredients” for rechargeable batteries wreak havoc on the environment. It’s dangerous, relies of child labor, and releases so many damaging pollutants/cancer causing chemicals that negatively impact the people and surrounding areas.

Isn’t that the truth. Why can’t something finally be free of the consequences of something good. 🤷‍♂️

Great tips. Love the property and garden... coming from a city boy, now living in the suburbs and in my 2nd year of trying to grow tomatoes and peppers in pots - limited sunlight (4-5hrs) from cypress trees surrounding the property. Makes me want to move... :)

I get it. I came from suburbia too. It def can but limits on what you can do. You may not get award winning tomato plants and harvests, but with 5 hours of sun, there are still a lot of options. But regarding tomatoes, have you tried using grow bags in the sunniest space you have, even if it’s along your driveway? I’ve grown lots of tomatoes that way and in straw bales simply to place them where the sun shines bright. Good luck! 👍

@@joegardenerTV Thanks for the tips. Actually bought a few grow bags 2 weeks ago to try and Soil3 Veggie Mix arrived last week after watching one of your older videos. I have bought their level mix over the years and one bag of compost last year for the back cool season lawn (due to shade).

Great information! You can get CHIP DROP in every state and it is FREE! Just expect ALOT of chips!! But well worth it! It’s best to go in on it with a neighbor an ask the guy if he will dump half in your neighbors yard ( just make sure your neighbor is there when the chip drop comes.)
Or more than one neighbor usually the guys are very nice but heads up is on the website. It asks if he will tip him $20 which I think is pennies for all you’re getting. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱💚
