      Glad to help! Regarding the other channel(GGWTV), we use that just for the TV show episodes, and we're about to upload all the past 12 seasons in total, so it will be a great resource to watch all our TV episodes in their entirety. But here, you will find DIY and how-to episodes. And we are actively working on adding much more content here. Thanks!

    Use bug netting or tulle on brassicas right away. It’s impossible to hand pick all of them. Sometimes if you don’t tightly secure bug netting they will be flying under that also😂.

    I've learned so much from your show. How do you deal with slugs in your garden?

    • @joegardenerTV
      @joegardenerTV  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I usually dust with DE ( Diatomaceous Earth) around the base of the plants and on the leaves that are affected. Organic and safe other than for soft-bodied creatures like snails and slugs.

    I put leaves in my chicken pens and let them scratch and break them down along with pine shavings. Then I compost it with the chicken litter.

    Great advice. We mulch our garden beds but I can say that historically I don’t see this done by the average home gardener. That’s a shame because it is a game changer when it comes to retaining moisture and improving soil, especially in containers and raised beds.

      So true I mulch with leaves that fall on my property and when I check out the soil underneath it's all worm castings. It's such an under rated step

    Joe are you using untreated pine sleepers? I'm wanting to org my raised beds build.

    • @joegardenerTV
      @joegardenerTV  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The beds are made of untreated cedar timbers. 6x6’s. They’ve held up well for 12 years but now starting to show their age though.

    I'd say, watch a video and start from seeds immediately. The price of starter plants is going through the roof.
