    Good trick to get those bearings out get it on hot plate like you cooked pancakes on said the block on end set it to 400° walk away go do something for 10 minutes or so come back in the bearings would be laying on the hot same goes for putting them in freeze the bearings lay the block on the hot plate they drop in and when everything comes temperature in nice and tight

    Have you ever pinched a sleeve? I have three I didn’t throw away and I have been meaning to try it. One guy used a small band clamp, heated the crap out of it and quenched it. Seems like a hell of a trick.

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If sometimes you can buy pinching tools on eBay but You have to make a sleeve ring so you will get it round and pinched in the right spot otherwise the piston will never go all the way into the cylinder again. It's something I'm gonna do some experimenting with at a later date

    Bit of an odd question... and I would prefer to ask people who really spend time with nitro motors to get opinions from... I have a Cen Genesis 7.7 motor finally gave out and while i will replace the piston and sleeve at some point, at the moment I have all kinds of nitro motors but little funds to order replacement parts. I was going to ask if you or anyone else watching could give an honest opinion... I have 3 motors I have been thinking of using as temp replacements to enjoy the truck again. I have an Axial .32RR, a Losi 454, and an Ofna .32. Do you think any of these will have the.... clout? to push a truck that big?

    What engine mount you using for the .28? Been trying to find a engine mount for a .21 sh off road competition engine.... putting it on my tmaxx 3.3

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This engine is for my HPI savage X 4.6 there is no big block tmaxx stuff available anymore. And it was expensive to do it because nothing fits since everything has to be upgraded in order to made it work. The best thing to do is return that engine and just buy an OS 21TM it is designed for Traxxas cars and trucks. Just be sure it says for Tmaxx! Because the revo engine is different! The tmaxx engine is plug and play no modifications or special parts required and it's an os so it's already better quality

    • @dancj10
      @dancj10 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @thebug4046 I thought so, but I'll just upgrade my 1/8 Buggy then. Swap my newer engine in that instead. I guess nothing was all lost lol. I did just buy the OS 21TM for the tmaxx for sure. Just wanted a something a little better than those 3.3 traxxas makes that are kinda crap. 320 bucks later, but hey nothing is all lost. All still win for me anyways since I was gonna upgrade my 1/8 Buggy that has the 3.0 kyosho. Thanks again for the reply!!
