Every time I listen to performances from late 2013 and after, I think I wish I could have attended a concert of this era. And I thank the band for moments like this, even when it’s much harder (if not impossible) to pull them anymore these days.
I miss when they were like that. I miss that time. Some eternal friends, a pack of beer and cigarettes, girlfriends in the car.. Was wild nights :) Now, I am no longer in my 20s, I no longer have long hair, no girlfriends or "wild nights". I am 43, a son, married, and white hair. I think I will forever love that brunette I had in the "back seat"; I have dreams about her, even today. I will take with me forever the marks of that time, and the longing for what we went through.

Probably the last show on the OWN tour at Giants Stadium in 2001. However, there was an acoustic promo gig in Barcelona 2002, but the video cuts out shortly before he got to that part.
@@ImJuanChannel I'm not that sure. Of course they do rehearsals and soundcheck but I don't think that John memorizes all those additional lyrics before each show. In Dry County for example, he gave a different speech before the solo in each 1993 show. I haven't come across one yet which sounds even slightly similar to another one. From what I observe, I can clearly tell that he leads the band with his moves and gestures rather than with lyrics which are previously memorized by each band member so that they would know when he would stop singing and start screaming. In I'll Be There For You, he usually turns to the band before screaming so that they would know that he is going to change the course of the song. So I think that's exactly what's going on here at 08:05. He goes on improvising because he realizes that he didn't give the band the sign yet that he is ready for the scream, then after a few seconds turns to the band and does the screaming.
