I just read Keasha is retired 'Due to family matters" after having her own boutique in Detroit. Sending her love and healing vibes from where I am. She is a healing spirit, thank you for all you have done to help others on their very special day.
Keisha, I am a breast cancer survivor. Waiting two months can be the difference between easy to treat stage 2 and stage 4 which has a much worse prognosis. It can be the difference between a simple lumpectomy and much more involved surgery with infused chemo. There are so many new treatment protocols now! If necessary, there are big strides in reconstruction that actually enhance your look. Don’t be afraid! ❤
Good news that other people posted, this episode is many years old now. Keisha is alive, got her own bridal boutique, ended up retiring, and is still alive!
Got married in 1961. My dress was made by a dressmaker. This lady very busy made lots of dresses. She charged me $90. With the veil. The dress was beautiful long sleeves and a ball gown.
I was married in 1978. My gown cost $190, including alterations (at that time, it was unheard of to charge extra); the veil was, I believe, $25. My shoes came from a chain discount shoe store: $15 (I was willing to spend more, but liked these).
It depends on what you want. My mom was married in the early 60’s and wore a silk gown made in Italy or something. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m sure that cost a pretty penny.
Keasha do not delay - I had lumps all benign and had every one of them removed. Then years later, one returned and it was cancer - two years of treatment with chemo and a targeted drug and I've been cancer free for 15yrs and going strong. Do NOT delay and probably nothing, but get that lump removed. Wishing you all the very best.
I lost my best friend to cancer when we were just 12 we always talked about getting married together or being each others bridesmaids I know once I get married I will do something in memory of my best friend whom I will never ever forget.
If you have a photo of her, find a locket, have the photo scanned and sized to fit, and wear it next to your heart on your wedding day. Well, it's the first thing lurching into my brain, and it would be nice. She'd even be in all your pictures, nestled in the locket. In any case, she _will_ be there with you, if you're thinking of her at any time during the ceremony.
Keisha please please don't put it off another day!! One of my best friends did that and wound up having a dble mastectomy. She then went thru 2 yrs of radiation and rejection of implants b4 she healed. Prayers!
Two weeks is too late Keisha, let alone months!!! Please, for your family friends, and most of all yourself, have it checked out! I hope she went to the doctor after she filmed this!?
I've loved the beading of that first mermaid dress the bride put on, I've seen that dress in the background of some of the interviews on a bunch of other videos. The beading design reminds me of an art nouveau pattern, something from the early 1900's design
Mother’s can be so selfish. You’d think this mother of a cancer surviving daughter would just want her child happy regardless if mom likes her dress pick or not.
Keisha, go now. Inhad esophagus cancer, but thank God it was caught at Stage 1. Had I waited 2 months or more, treatment would have been much worse. Esophagus cancer has a very low survival rate if caught at stage 3 or 4. It has a low survival rate, period. Breast cancer can be treated.....go, get it done!!!!!
I will say one thing to the young lady who works at the bridal store. If you do not go see this doctor as soon as possible you may regret it. You may find out. You don’t have any chance of saving your life say never play with your life. It’s too precious. Get your butt in there and get checked out before it’s too late.
Don’t waste time. The faster you deal with cancer the odds are better. I’ve watched those who waited and they are not here now. Olivia Newton John lived to a long life. Join in the gaining of years.
My .other had the same cancer as the bride and my dad said that if she didn't have an op she would be dead in two and a half years and he would be glad.
I thought that dress was not flattering on her at all. Don’t get me wrong. It was a pretty dress, but personally, it didn’t suit her in my opinion at the end of the day, though she was happy and that’s what matters.
Nearly one in five people who have cancer will get it back at some point after it goes away. That’s why she said ‘for now’ because she is more likely to have cancer again in the future- especially considering her young age.
One of the most beautiful and touching episodes. The bride looked stunning in her choice of dress. I pray for good health for her and for Keisha.

@@Sokolvabrava!❤
@@Sokolva great news , in My case sometimes i see videos and don't look at the date, i was really worried for her, thank you for the great news🙏
As a two-time breast cancer survivor, early detection and treatment is key. 3D mammograms save lives, but you can’t delay treatment!

Inflation sucks
Keisha, I had breast cancer 40 years ago. Don't wait to find out and get treated. There is a lot of life to live... don't miss any of it.
Don't wait a couple of months cancer spreads really fast , go and SEE your doctor fast please 🙏🙏
$850 in 1978? Wow, that was a HUGE amount of money back then. I spent about $800 in 1997 on my wedding gown & that was a lot of money.
yes I was thinking the same! I suppose it's the same now as well; how we feel when we see a 5k, 6k, 7k price tag! haha
Yes it is about 4000 USD today ( using inflation calculator)🙃

Long island school teachers do very well. 6 figures is not uncommon .
Keisha was always so good with her first picks
Praying for Keisha. She's a beautiful person...

Went through almost exactly what you have gone through. Still ok many years later. You take care and you will be a beautiful bride.
Keisha is so awesome
I lost my best friend to cancer when we were just 12 we always talked about getting married together or being each others bridesmaids I know once I get married I will do something in memory of my best friend whom I will never ever forget.
I'm so very sorry. So hard for kids to go through that especially.

Have you gone to the doctors yet Keisha? We love you and care about you. I hope and pray you beat it!❤❤❤❤🙏✝️🙏
Bride has great figure, everything looks great on her
First dress was beautiful
I'm A Cancer Survivor six months clear now 💜🙏💜
Such a loving mom. I didn't have that. It's so sweet to see.

But she healed and that's the important thing.
😊
One of the most beautiful dresses ever!

Glàd You Picked The One You Wanted

Keisha don't leave it too long to go back to Doctors please
Keasha you can wait a couple of months but cancer doesn't wait a couple of months
Make your own Joy 😊love to get her and see your great day in a attractive view blessed you 🌷
The mum was pushy all the way and when the bride is fed up "oh i will do anything to see you happy" 😑
Go to the Dr Keisha
Say Yes to the Dress, nice content you deserve more views
1978 $850 is the equivalent of about $4100 today.
...and meanwhile, bye not trusting her daughter, they have wasted everyone's time.
It’s normal to want to try on more than one dress though.
It's so much money to spend. You have to be sure.

When my daughter marries some day i dont care if she chooses a flannel shirt and jeans or a ball gown .. if she is happy i am happy ❤
Lori get on Keisha about not wanting the 2 months.
Not your wedding, Mom.
Exactly I agree with the other person said not your wedding
If you have a lump in your breast, procrastination is dangerous!

Beautiful dress. Both veils are wrong
These mothers who need to involve their old dress or veil or whatever make me sad. Sit down.
Don’t waste time. The faster you deal with cancer the odds are better. I’ve watched those who waited and they are not here now. Olivia Newton John lived to a long life. Join in the gaining of years.

I'm 10 years post mastectomy! All clear!
Dress #3 looked way nicer on her.
BEAUTIFUL !!!! XOXOXO
did you blur her operation marks out? been there, have a huge scar
My mom had her thyroid removed in the early 60's. Small town surgeon. Her scar was almost invisible. You had to look hard to see it.
I get skin check every year and if I notice anything different about my skin or body I go straight to the doctor
Pretty dress, but I hope she didn't choose that ugly Kleinfeld veil. Her mom's veil made differently or a cathedral veil in the back would be prettier.
I thought that dress was not flattering on her at all. Don’t get me wrong. It was a pretty dress, but personally, it didn’t suit her in my opinion at the end of the day, though she was happy and that’s what matters.
I agree
Ditch the entourage!!!!!
People have to remember who the bride is. Ffs.
Y'all know this is from the 2010s right?
Fortunately, it has high survival rate
Donna here, it really bothered me when she said "I'm cancer free for now". As if she knew something.
Sadly, a lot of people who have cancer at a younger age are more prone to getting it again
Nearly one in five people who have cancer will get it back at some point after it goes away. That’s why she said ‘for now’ because she is more likely to have cancer again in the future- especially considering her young age.
She may not know anything
But she knows it may come back at some point
I know of two who have had Thyroid cancer. Both have been great for years.
Once you get that diagnosis, you know that cancer-free today doesn’t mean that you’re cancer-free tomorrow. It’s terrifying.
The bride's haircut does not suit her at all
Thyroid cancer is nothing really tho.. so easily treatable - especially when one listens to their body and knows something is wrong 😅
