I got a "blind" tattoo from a gumball machine once. I only did it because I knew the artist wouldn't put anything bad in there and the motifs were mostly simple and cute like plants, animals, hearts. I got a little flower that grows out of a heart and I couldn't be happier 💚😍

My latest tattoo was done by my coworker and maybe because I was PMSing, it was hurting a bit more than usual. I kept saying the WHY SO SPICY sound whenever it kicked a bit more than what I am used to. My coworker, being the professional she is, of course said it back to me and each time it went into a crazy party shouting SPICY at each other.

I had an experience with a sexist tattoo artist... My brother offered to pay for my first tattoo when I was 17, obviously I said yes... I sent my ideas to the artist and he showed me a sketch, I absolutely lovedddd the sketch and Said yes to it... Knowing that he did really good line work and colors on my brother's tattoos I was very confident it would turn out to be beautiful... While he tattoos me, I made like "tsss" sounds cause Hello there were needles going in and out of my skin... He kept saying that girls are such pussies and they can't handle tattoos, kept yelling at me and started pressing harder... Needless to say my tattoo is shaggy, the lines are uneven, thick on some parts and thin on others, the Colors faded after like 2 months... I was LIVID...

I have noticed that as far as finger tattoos go, people with chubby or wrinkly hands tend to keep them better than those with smooth skinny bony fingers, probably because the fat layer under the skin provides extra cusion and bounce so there is less rubbing and impacts damaging the skin itself, as well as nore skin surface means less stretching. Whether you have wrinkly finger joints or chubby fingers, the end result is more skin which means less pulling, less tissue damage and repair, and less ink dispersion as that tissue heals. Or at least that's my theory about finger tattoos

I show the artist the references and where I found them (these were actual flowers not other tattoos of sunflowers). tbh I love these videos! I am watching these in the mornings as I have to get up an hour early everyday to cook brekkie and lunch. But today work is paying lunch as it's the last day before christmas. So I got my cold water, and brownies baking away in the oven to bring to work. 5.20am have never been more chill and cozy

I’ve never cried during a tattoo, I recently got my cuff done, first coloured tattoo… and let me tell you… It hurt like hell, I have a decent mount of tattoos, I have a full sleeve on my arm, and my thigh done.. none coloured because I don’t really like coloured tattoos but this one is a Jurassic park one so it needed to be coloured.. best decision I made, and coolest tattoo I have but holy moly the pain nearly drew a few tears 😂

My vibe when I enter the tattoo shop is I text my artist and wait for them to meet me at the door and lead me up (or down) a random flight of stairs cause they're all in tiny private studios located in office blocks or artists studios buildings xD

I’m still new to tattoos, so new that my oldest tattoo is only 1.5 years old (almost exactly), so I can’t really speak to fading based on location just yet.
I am getting my first arm tattoo next year, and with my obsessive covering of my legs this summer (even in 80 degree weather) in order to keep it from the sun, I may just have to live in long sleeves! 😂
Will have to make it a habit of using sunscreen instead of suffering through the heat in the layers.

11:45 that is all natural Dr. Bronner's soap. not sure if that was the mint or the unscented. either way, it is organic and good for sensitive skin.

I did my first GWG gumball, it was Simpson treehouse horror themed! originally I got Barney and bless the lovely tattooer (Phil) he saw my reaction and said.. go on spin again! usually you have to pay for a respin, I got the witch from the Hansel and Gretel episode (if anyone knows hehe) it was really lovely he let me go again, shows he really cares about his customers and their happiness with their tattoo ✨

11:45 looks like Dr Bronner's Castile Soap, which I thought was pretty heavy duty stuff, but I could be wrong? We used the Peppermint one for cleaning ink off our hands in the print-arts class. I'm looking online and I think they're all hemp based, hers is most likely Hemp and Lavender.
