Moody 33 MK2 Nebula

The flared bow Moody 33MKII with centre cockpit is a cracking family cruising vessel. Nebula has been loved and well maintained by her current family and has given them superb blue water adventures. She is kitted out for long haul sailing with solar panels, wind turbine and wind vane steering, with a comprehensive blue water electronic navigation package. I love this boat, but I still dont understand for what is the space in the bow.. I feel like with bad weather it will be always full of water and putting so much extra weight there.. I would aprecciate if you help me with that doubt. Thanks!
